Mine is still in transit but I went to my local gaming store and leafed through it....
WOW!!! (not World of Warcraft by the way).
The options in this book will keep you busy with a single class for a long long long time.

| Lot of interesting options there.
I'm currently putting together a paragon level genasi resourceful warlord for an upcoming 2 shot adventure one member of our group is planning to run. So far the character is looking pretty good.
Hopefully in our regular game the party ranger will be switching his archer build for the beastmaster build. Again a lot more options available there. | |

| First glance-
Fighters-
dwarf battlerager fighters are going to be very very resiliant. Getting 3-5 temp hp for using some powers or for just hitting someone is icky... And sometimes they stack!
tempest fighters are defender rangers. I don't really like em.
paragon paths- dwarven defender and dreadnaut are amazing. Dreadnaut gives you res 5-10 to all Dmg through powers or action points. WOW.
Rangers-
beastmaster build isingeresting. I didn't spend a ton of time looking at it but it seems like a controler/defender ranger. I'll have to look closer; it seems like it's missing somthing or I missed somthing.
paragon paths- there are 2 archer paths that are amazing. Some good melée and good beast path too.
Rouge-
the new options weren't as clear and I didn't spend as much time with them so others can chime in.
Warlord-
both new builds rock.
Bravua- fighter warlord. Lots of chancey powers but when it works your allows usually get extra attacks. This will be my one off character next week.
resourceful- add int and chr as bonuses. Super buffer.

| So actually sat down and made a first level bravura warlord and first level dwarf battlerager... Both arepretty sexy.
Warlord- went human so I could get I to some scale mail and get lend might (feat allows +1 to attacks you grant). Hp and ac are going to be needed here. Seems like a build that is so so at low levls but with a well built party it will be scary. I wasgoing to test drivethis one tonight in a one off but I'm sick, sore, and moving this weekend...oh well. Human is doubly nice so you can take the 2 new warlord at wills and viper strike; all three can grant an extra att.
Fighter- with dwarven stoneblood I can get 10temp hp a round, every round and if I already have temp hp brash Att is str +2 vs ac and I deal extra dmg equal to con mod and an additional +2dmg as long as I use a hammer or axe and that's worth it even if I now grant combat advantage (warhammer becomes a d10+9 for my character and should go up another 2 with dwarven wp next level). This is sick and the ac is still decent with chain and a heavy shield. This becomes my default fighter build from here on out me thinks. | |
