I'm assuming that you're looking at the Dragondown Grotto pic. I think that is still the Dracolich, just with a little more flesh on the old bones. Take a look at the wings. They're lacking the skin between the bones. | |

| Great shots of the GBD and CRD. I like them both even better now. Somehow the GBD pose doesn't look as funny from that angle - or maybe it's just missing a musical instrument.
Love the transparent breath on the CRD. It doesn't look as toy-like as I thought from the earlier pictures. | |

Well, my hubby & I have two of the GBD ordered and one of the CRD on order.
Man, that CRD looks awesome!
In a way, I really wish we were getting two of the CRD too.
But it's such a huge piece and how often will we really use that beastie anyway?!
And I don't think I could talk my hubby into getting another one...
He didn't buy the whole "but honey, they'll make great bookends."

Most of the Forgotten Realms Dracolichs where created by Sammaster, a Fallen chosen of Mystra and the Cult of the Dragon which he founded.
The Cult came about when Sammaster translated a prophecy which read
"And Naught will be left save shattered thrones with no rulers. But dead dragons shall rule the world entire..."
Sammaster decided to make the prophecy come true by creating "Dead Dragons" which eventually evolved into Dracolichs
It will be interesting to see how Wizards link the The Blue Dragon Dracolich (Which should be LE) to the Cultist of the Dragon mini from Archfiends (Which is CE)
I can see 1 of 2 things happaning
1) The Blue Dragon Dracolich will be ANY EVIL instead of LE
2) Theres a bridging mini which allows LE Dragons to be ported across to CE. A Sammaster mini would be the obvious choice to fill this role | |
