Subject: Procedure for returning a damaged mini

Could someone who has done it before, or knows of someone who has returned a mini for exchange to WOTC tell me how this works?

I found an address for Customer Service on the WOTC site:

Is this where you send the damaged mini (pulled a Mountain Orc with no face) and proof of purchase?

This would be good info I had a friend pull a herazod (sp)with a split base that had been glued back together.

You should contact costomer service at their site first.

They will give you an address. Probably best to print your screen and include it with your package.

WARNING! - WotC will mail your replacement back in an envelope so it will be very crushed and very flat. Your gonna hafta boil it back into shape.

Seems like a lot of work for a common to me. I would just consider this an "enhanced" mini for use as a battle victim...

Built the addition for this addiction, now on to the "gaming table" project....

My favorite mini pull thus far is my headless Skeleton Warrior. Sealed in the bag sans head. Can't imagine sending that in for a replacement.

I pulled a backless Hook Horror from the Aberrations set. Contacted the CS people at WotC and they gave me the name of a rep here in Oz. I contacted the rep, told them my sad, sad tale and they told me what the Golf Oscar was.

They gave me a list of minis to choose from in case they didn't have an HH and asked me to return it.

Sent the impaired Horror and his card back, asked for a replacement booster or two (you don't know if you don't ask) and got a new Hook Horror instead (without a card).

Long drawn out process (but that's the way things happen in the merry old land of Oz) but a satisfactory result nonetheless. ΖD]

We've seen numerous 'mistake' miniatures in our business -- and my favorite so far was Lando Calrissian with no arms past the elbows. Now THAT looked like a lightsaber accident.

I had a Rikka without a sword arm. Contacted WoTC via email, they sent me the address and exactly what I needed to do. Got a replacement several weeks later. WoTC followed through beautifully in replacing my mini.
Note: I did have to include a receipt. In my case, the shipping order from Gameoutfitters did the trick.

I've got a mini that isn't damaged but...

I always thought the stone giant was the most boring paint job ever. Till yesterday when I was at a skirmish tournament and someone pointed out that it hadn't been painted at all. It's in great shape and still in its bag, it's a "misprint", is it worth more?
