| Been here a while, and shopped ebay for years, but this tops the list of craziness.

WOW!
How is that even possible!?! They're readily available for $50 or less. Why would anyone ever pay 10x that much? Why oh why I ask? | | Have: Cat; Want: Storm Giant Champion of Anything Dragonlance Before trading, please check the Disputed Trades Thread | |

Yeah... that is what it looks like. Two people without much Ebay experience or idea of how much it is worth. I have thrown a bid down on an item that was way above what I thought it would ever go for, but it was still what I was willing to pay for the item. These two... you have to question sanity.

| | Ouch! [B)] Gotta wonder if this one is gonna go unpaid or to arbitration. The high bidder looks to be Italian. I don't know how the international eBay enforcement goes, but maybe the bid was placed impossibly high with the hopes that they would win but the intention to never pay if it got out of control. | | KoK: MiNi Apostle CHAMPION of STURM, SOLAMNIC KNIGHT | |

| | My guess is that the italian bidder hit an extra 0 in his bid, so instead of $51 it came out $510 and if used to values in Lira, then that might not be so bad? However, the second bidder with the 0 rating seems suspicious to me, I mean they have been a member for all of a few hours it looks like. Price will never get paid... | | Built the addition for this addiction, now on to the "gaming table" project.... http://www.maxminis.com/hw_list.asp?user=Zenako last updated 29 May 2006 Set Status: in a nutshell = all of all In Process trades 0), (Sig last updated 05/29/06) 300 plus Completed Trades -

| | I agree that there is something funny going on there. When one person bid from 120 to 500, somehow, the other guy knew to bid 510, without making multiple raises. Can't see how a fake outbid would do the seller any good. Maybe using the second chance option? hmm. | | E-mail | Have/Want List | Reference thread "Whatever you do, don't drop a blade barrier on a troll."

| I'm hoping this was an accident. Though I did have a friend that forgot a decimal point and accidentally bid $500 for a broken X-Box motherboard when he was just trying to bid 50. As long as there is time left you can always retract the bid.

| I talked to the seller and he said:
quote: It seems highly unlikely that the bid is real. I checked the current bidding that these yahoos are doing. There appear to be two IDs from Japan and one from Italy. They seem to be working together in some fashion. Maybe they are trying to get a lower price for a friend. On the other hand, it may have been a misplaced decimal. Either way, I am under no obligation to sell the item at a lower price if they back out. I have attempted to contact both parties. So far, no answer. If they are trying to stick me with fees by not paying, it can't be done. I'll just go through the whole non-paying bidder crap and recover my final value fees and then issue negative feedback followed by blocking them from future bidding. I've been doing this a long time. They better be creative if they want to screw me over. Maybe they are trying to take advantage of my return policy. There has been a run of fake USPS money orders. I do mention that I will refund money orders with a check. They send me a fake MO, I refund a real check? Cool! Whatever. I won't accept a Paypal payment for this. That way they can't try and stick me with a chargeback by claiming that it never arrived. Anyway, I look forward to the results of this auction. I would imagine that there are many people watching this. I have already received 10+ emails on this one. I feel like a celebrity! Have a good weekend.
