- More outdoor maps coming soon; forest map in FL3
- War Drums ended up with four warforged because some other concepts didn't work out
- Wemic has more parts and more paint that the Girallon, which makes him a Rare
- Some Dragonlance and Ravenloft minis are in the plans
- Twig Blight is coming, but not for a few more months
- Clear plastic is in WDQ
- Art director determines set color palette based on proposed minis
- WotC coordinating actions with Paizo to bring minis related to Dragon and Dungeon (possible Spawn of Kyuss)

When asked about past dragons Shoe said that they would not re-release updated stat cards, but if a dragon were to be redone (ala Loyal Earth Elemental) then it would see the upgrade.
Could mean some of the Draongs that have varying age categories in the same Size could be on the way. | |

This is a pity. I would have gotten a lot more use out of a bunch of Wemics than I would a bunch of Girallons.

This is great news! Dungeon and Dragon magazines have some wonderful artwork, and equally good content. I hope we'll see the "iconics" that Dragon magazine have been using as hero characters in their artwork transformed into miniatures!

- There are no external pressures on R&D as to the type of minis they want to make
- There will be DDM scenario packs later this year with free alternative scenarios posted on the web
- There are two special promos in the works
- One environmental book is in the works for 2006, and one for 2007. Neither is about forests

Sort of like Magma Keep and Fane of the Drow ... they were first available for the Championships, but then were more widely available.

| Thanks for posting the news here. My reactions to these news:

(I figured something like this happened, but I'm relieved to hear it wasn't on purpose. Still, I hope next time they have to fill in a gap they use something more useful.)
Some Dragonlance and Ravenloft minis are in the plans
(It doesn't matter to me as long as they are useful for RPG in a generic D&D setting.)
Twig Blight is coming, but not for a few more months
(Good to hear it's coming. I'd like to see it sooner than later.)
Clear plastic is in WDQ
(Good news, as long as it's only used where appropriate, such as for ice paraelementals or invisible stalkers.)

(This is really excellent news. I would absolutely love to get minis that fill in the gaps for the Dungeon Adventure Paths.)

(That's too bad. I guess I'll have to try to make my own with regular wolf minis and goblin minis. I was disappointed Snig was not the correct size, as that is very important to me in using the minis for RPG.)

(I don't really care about the maps, but I hope we are still getting "aquatic" miniatures like aboleth, mermen, medium sharks, etc., even if they are given amphibious ability or magical airbreathing to make them useful to the skirmish folks.)

(I preordered two GBDs and one CRD. But next year I hope we get a purple dragon and another gargantuan chromatic dragon. I really don't want any more collosal figures after the CRD. I only scarcely wanted the CRD and would never have paid full retail for it even though I buy at least two cases of each DDM set plus extra singles three times a year.)

(Yeah! Another piece of great news, especially if these are frost and fire giants.)

(There are some minis from these settings like Raistlin and Von Strahde that I would really like to see.)

(I look forward to the next ones. Hopefully Purple Worm, Tarrasque and others will be included in the icons series. There's more to D&D than dragons, but one dragon and one other each year I think would be a great compromise.)
