| DariusTAD: welcome back Shoe! Shoe: long day, here.. the wardrums release has like 70 ppl
doubtofwarforged: IS LG going to be getting a good, general beater in the same vein as those found in the other factions? Shoe: sure.. Shoe: (wait.. answer isn't sure) Shoe: lol glumag: :)
doubtofwarforged: IS LG going to be getting a good, general beater in the same vein as those found in the other factions? DariusTAD: repaste for the real answer Shoe: the real answer is.. sort of Shoe: I'm trying to think through the next couple of sets -- and we do realize that LG needs to not be known for low damage output. Things like the JA help, and are reasonable in a heavy-beater environment. Shoe: I know at least one guy in DQ might fill that role a bit, and he fits the faction, too.
Lalato: Question: Is it safe to say that WotDQ will include at least one Draconian? Shoe: danger danger Shoe: not safe
True_Blue: maybe? Shoe: there are dragon-themed minis in the set - that bit is safe. draconians? not directly
Mindtrick: can we expect to see 4-5 uniques in each set or will those numbers increase as the rank and file MM are burned through. Shoe: I prefer uniques to truly be our classic, recognized personalities from D&D lore... I don't think we need 4-5 each set, but 2-3 seems a reasonable average - sometimes less, occasionally more. We've got a lot of MM left, and we'll still have the occasional redux of an MM creature, too
robbdaman: will LG ever get a summoner/minion creature? Shoe: ever? probably. :)
Sammael: Will there be Tiny commons in future sets? (go Stirge!) Shoe: It is possible. Right now our Tinies are too complex of sculpts to make common, but it could happen
Lalato: Which fig in War Drums presented the most problems in playtesting? Shoe: good question. let me think a sec... arcane ballista went back and forth alot. It was too good if it could move and shoot, but kind of sucked if it had slow attack. In the end, it ended up with two crutches (slow attack and crew), but gained some damage boosts and the fireball effect. It's a good counter to the abundance of larges in the set, but some of the maps hinder it due to slow attack, except the teleporter map :)
Runelord: Shoe, what sort of chances do we have of seeing some of the iconic monsters we already have in not so iconic roles (Fire Giant Sorceror? for example)? Shoe: mmm. we've said that we don't want to "reprint" a mini. To us, that means a stat card isn't duplicated, but in some cases, we want to resculpt a mini, and give it different stats. The long answer is that if we've done a mini already, we might give it levels or abilities to make it more interesting and different fromt the first one. That said, we'd like to make sure that if, for example, we put out another fire giant, then it looks enough like a fire giant so that people can use it as such, but it could be a fire giant cleric, for example.
Runelord: Can you comment on how much of WotDG is going to be dragons? Is it a 1/4 of the set or more? Shoe: 1/4 of the set is 15... so... hrm... hafta think, here... I think the number of theme-relevant minis in DQ is higher than our typical sets.
glumag: :) True_Blue: ahh good answer DariusTAD: I can see the thread now glumag: yeah ;)
Shoe: more than 1/4 of the minis are dragon-related, but to say more specifics would give stuff away
DariusTAD: There goes my budget
Shoe: maybe more than a quarter, can't remember exactly (don't have the set list here, for instance), but close
DariusTAD: There goes Merric's master plan
ShivanWurm: Shoe any chance of getting dragons with templates like two-headed or Ravager of Tiamat? Shoe: a template is one good way of modifying a dragon if we wanted to rerelease one and make it more viable for skirmish. I wouldn't expect something like that this year, and I can’t speak to what's | | Merric Blackman

| Thanks again!
I now don't feel so bad about the nap I took this afternoon.
There's a fair amount of insight into the workings of the DDM there, and probably half a dozen hints that we haven't found...
