| There was some information leaked about future sets at Winter Fantasy. I haven't seen a thread about them yet. When ever I heard something I was careful to ask if it was "on the record" or "off the record" That way only the information they didn't mind leaking was available.
The coolest thing mentioned was the promo for the War of the Dragon Queen prerelease events. The designers were worried that opening 2 packs of WotDQ wouldn't provide enough product to build a good epic 500 point band as that is the sealed format they will be using. To make up for this, the promo being handed out to everyone is theHuge Fiendish Spider that will be playable in your sealed pull. This will give everyone 3 huges to select from. So make sure you come out to one. A Huge spider is going to be way cool.
Anyone else get some good gossip?

| Any clue if that will be the Huge promo from Dragon Magazine in June?
If not, is that figure available as one of the uncommons in a WotDQ booster? I doubt it is an exclusive, right? | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis

| Huge Fiendish Spider, nice! A huge I wont mind having lord knows how man of.
So, this promo is one of two things.
Same promo to come in Dragon later this year.
Just a promo like any other being handed out at the events, thats part of the set.
If its the second scenario (the most likely) then we get our first HUGE REPAINT!!! As all the promos that get handed out at pre-release are repaints, this is awesome news indeed.

I agree this seems to make the most sense of a huge uncommon and something that people wouldn't mind trading for if they were unhappy, i.e. "I don't use huge spiders". Not that I don't use huge spiders. I love me some poisons and it after the prep I put into a presentation on the mechanisims of spider posions. My players are going to love this fig!!!!

| Great news, thanks for the scoop! And I like that this indicates what sort of Uncommon Huges will be in the set. More than the ratio of Huge Rare to Huge Uncommon, I think that having Huge Uncommons that some people will want multiples of will make this set much better than GoL.
And this also means that they will most likely do something similar at Gen Con for League play. I was wondering how they were going to do that, if it was going to be 200 or 500 pt epic play. For Gen Con, we'll probably get the same as the pre-release setup or they'll hand out a different Huge promo instead.

| Nice choice for an uncommon. That's 1 more figure known. Add that to the Dracolich and Aspect of Tiamat and we already know 1/4 of the Huges and they all sound great!

| You know, before I jump up on the "OMG, spiders are cool!" bandwagon (and I will), let me preface things by saying that I'm getting a little tired of all the Drow and Underdark stuff. I know, I know, you aren't, whoever you are, but I am.
Yes, I need some big spiders for D&D (the Acklay is only so useful). And, yes, they'll be cool for the tournament. I think it's a great idea for WotC to make a third Huge available for the thing.
But, I kinda wish it had been something besides a spider. I'd have been happy for the spider to just be one of the Huge uncommons, and for us to get a different one as the third Huge.
I know, I know, every DM needs more spiders, etc., etc. That's true. I'm just griping.

| Great scoop, bshugg, I am also not a fan of Drows, but a huge spider will be much more useful than the high-CR huge uncommons GoL had to offer, except for the Treant I actually use for RPG and the F T-Rex that just looks amazing. This is making me consider adding a spider army to my list...
I would also love it if the Aspect of Bahamut was included. With Tiamat it makes sense. However, WD did NOT have an Aspect Of Gruumsh to go with the Aspect Of Moradin so I would not bet on Bahamut until we get some more information... | | Please donate BLOOD at http://www.monstersgame.co.uk/ac=vid&vid=11018554 Champion Of Kaz the Minotaur Knight of ALL Draconians. Could very well get the Aspect of Bahumat as a huge rare and the Aspect of Gruumsh as a large rare. Not sure if they'd go more then two aspects in a set (ala Archfiends) but if they did I wouldn't be that heartbroken.
