| Picked up my two cases and two boosters and madly went through them. After two cases, I had 8 doubles. [:(!] Opening the two boosters gave me another double. [:(!] So after opening 26 boxes, I'm still short seven figures.

| On the bright side though, unless you want those duplicates, I dont see how you will have any problem trading those off.

Yes if you want instant gratification its upsetting...But lets look at trade possibilities.
- You have A Bronze Dragon, Warduke, Snig Wargrider, and Aspect of Hextor.Those 4 can be traded away EASY..They are like the highly wanted stuff.
- Zakya Rakshasa is a rare that Eberrons players are gonna want multiples of.
- The Dragon Totme Hero is an epic...Thats gotta count for something with skirmishers.
- The only bad rares you have are the Orc Wardrummer and the Sand Giant...And if someone likes giants (no matter how lame the type) you can trade him away to.
Now lets look at what you need.
- Gulgar, Khumat and Warbound Impaler and weird monsters from books other than the MM. They arent as polular so you should have no trouble getting them.
- Aspects are something people want only one of...Find someone with a double (or someone who RPGs and hates Aspects) and your golden.
- King Obould and Shuluth are unique..so alot of people are only gonna want one..So same situation as Moradin.
- OK the War Troll is tough. Thats a great rare and will be hard to get....but wait you have a Dragon, Warduke and Snig!
Thanks to trading online I'd say you got nothing to complaine about :)

Which is well within the normal odds. Sure it'd be nice to buy 2 cases and get all the rares but that just ain't gonna happen.
You have good trade fodder, it could be a lot worse. Hell, even before getting my Wardrums cases I will happily trade you for Warduke, Sand Giant, Snig, and Orc Wardrummer. | |

| I've only played the skirmish game 3 times, and all three were with someone else who had never played - some i am very weak in the rules and even weaker on strategy...
Can someon deign to answer the question: why would you want 2 War Drummers?

| As Sulaco pointed out, you are well within the norm for duplicates. Without running the math, just on the shy side of perfectly average.
Cases are not designed to match up so that you get a full set after opening two.
As to your specific missing and duplicate figures, you should have little difficulty matching those up in trades. You're missing a few premium ones, but have a few premium rares in duplicate. | |

I believe there are a few threads over in the DDM Skirmish forum on this. I'll give you a general idea, though. The Wardrummer has multiple valuable effects he provides one at a time. Multiple Wardrummers gives you the ability to utilize more than one effect at a time. | |

I think some people's FLGS are letting them have their cases before the shelf date? Thats my guess. | |

thats right I can pick mine up tonight.. what happens is they state its te night before so its not like I can go on Ebay and get special sells on this. not enough time. I thank my FLGS for it. [:)] | |

| | If you open 1 case with no duplicates, then open a second case, your chances of getting a duplicate rise with every booster that isn't a duplicate. It starts off at 12/23 (over 50%) for each booster. It does fall a bit when you get a duplicate (due to the restrictions on repetition within a case), but I think you'll find that 6 or 7 duplicates in a second case is pretty darn average. | |

| I don't want to have doubles more than anyone else, but it's not terrible, given the chances. If you're getting 2 cases, given the fact that there are 23 rares, one can expect this:

So, most people will get 6 doubles, but a whopping 12% will share your case issue. | |

Yeah, okay, you've got me beat there...
To answer other posts -- yes, it's the instant gratification thing. I want them all now!
I realize that 8 duplicates is not that far off of average, I think I was just spoiled the first time I bought two cases and only had four rares overlap.
And yes, I am happy that the doubles I have are decent ones to trade away (in the case of those I don't want/need two of). | |

| | The problem is with 23 rares in the set, from a case it will be more likely to get a duplicate, because 12 rare puit of 23 are chosen for each case. However you could trade away 3 Large Bronze Dragons easily for what your missing. | |
