| I noticed that most of the War Drums bases read:
2005 Wizards of the Coast
But the base of the Hunting Cougar reads
2006 Wizards of the Coast
So far the Hunting Cougar is the only figure I know of with a 2006 date.

Hmm bozak i live in Canada and have already gotten mine and near done with the set. Did you order from your FLGS? Is it possible that the bases were made last year but not printed till now or the set was done last year. | | Champion of the Peryton Vindicated Champion : Pit Fiend, Devourer DW: Duergar Priest RPG Only!!!! | Maybe it signifies that it is the only one that went into production this year from that set. All the others were already made last year.
Not a good way to start the year off [:p] | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis

| Yea I found the 2005 pretty odd. Even if they were made in 2005, which they were, I would think they would still say 2006 because thats when they came out. But whatever.
Its really odd that one actually has 2006. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka

| | Maybe the cougar was a late replacement for some other sculpt that didn't work out? Maybe this mystery sculpt was too complex to be a common, and will show up as a really weak uncommon in WoDQ. | I think that is the date the sculpt was aproved.
So cougar was the last figure aproved for the set. I like the mini to bad it is so terrible in skirmish.

| Maybe the courgar was originally intended for WotDQ ... but was pulled into WD to take the place of a problematic mini.
Anyone have all 4 warforged handy to check their dates? Maybe one of them will have a 2006 date ... we know at least one of them was moved between sets (although we don't know if it was forwards, or backwards ...) | | Champion of Meepo _*_ Myztek on the Wizards Boards. _*_ (2206 DDM on 03/06/06) Please note: The use of the indicates an attempt at humor ... often a bad attempt. I have all the warforged and all are dated 2005, I never noticed the 2006 on the hunting cougars till now.
Probably pulled from a future set, in the WF interview Shoe did say there were so many warforged because a few things didn't work out maybe more than a few and they had to pull other stuff as well.

| | During the opening party at my D&D night Sunday night, one of my Hunting Cougars became the carefully supervised toy/teether for a 1 year old.
