-this is meant as a joke, some might not view it that way. but laugh anyways, 'cuz while i don't honestly feel this way, you KNOW some people do. They are ridiculous. Now, on with the show....

Has anyone noticed that none of the WARFORGED were missing paint steps? abviously, this is yet another move by Wizards to push everyone towards playing with their latest fecal discovery: Eberron. I mean, if the only minis that look good on the table are the eberron minis, then obviously, everyone will be drawn towards that setting. I expect the same result in War of the Dragon QUeen. we'll see shoddy paint jobs and missing paint steps on everything except for the eberron-specific minis.

Sure, one could point to the Zakya Raksasha and it's shield, but that mini is too easilly used as either a weretiger or a raksasha in another campaign setting. Only the warforged can't.

Obviously, we're having Eberron stuffed down our throats once again. As if it wasn't bad enough to get 4 freakin' warforged in the set, they're also about the ONLY figures to get decent paint jobs! I am sick and tired of all of this Eberron love and hope we never see another warforged again.

[:D] nice!

I do have to declare something, for the first time ever, from a sealed booster never-been-played-before miniature I got a 'broken' limb.

I was putting my minis away and I went to toss (gently) one of my warforged bodyguards into the box and the body landed but the shield arm went flying in a different direction. This si the first time I have seen a aprt of a mini detatch (other than my aspect of Lolth whip which is now ¾ the original size but that was my fault).

The cool thing about it is that the shape of the hole and the shape of the peg that goes into the body was still robotic of sorts, the inside of the warforged's body was kinda cool looking, it was squarish and like an inverted L. Some crazy glue and problem fixed.

Actually, the Warforged Captains I've seen are missing their red paint step.

Also, metallic figs like Warforged will -always- look better than their counterparts, simply because some metals and a black wash are all you need to make one look good.

One of my friends who paints minis on a regular basis always complains that he recieves more praise from his Iron Golem than his human figures, despite the fact the Iron Golem took about 5 minutes total to paint and the humans used many different shades and more complicated painting techniques.

The reason there are so many warforged in the set is simple: Wizards is listening to complaints that not enough of the minis in a set match the "theme". They looked at a potential set list and were like, "OMG, not enough things with WAR! We better throw in a bunch of WAR-forged!"

You need to post this on the WOTC forums. I think the result would be hilarious[:D]

haha you'd probably see a lot of flaming if this was on the WoTC boards. The Eberron lovers vs the Eberron haters..wouldnt be a pretty sight. Its nice to know we're more civil =] heh.

It would be too ironic if 'Eberron haters' were complaining about how good the Eberron figures are.
In truth, Eberron lovers appreciate getting minis that they can use in their campaigns, but love of the campaign setting goes way beyond the miniatures.
Most of the criticisms I've seen of the Eberron campaign setting are emotional, ill-informed, and just plain wrong.
Appreciate having a choice, and forget your conspiracy theories.

I have always been here.

Take off your tinfoil hats. Wizards isn't really out to get you [:D]

They're just out to get your money [)]

All four of my warforged (scout, bodyguard, captain, and barbarian) are missing at least one paint step from the master. The Barbarian is surprisingly nifty-looking (especially since I'm not a big fan of warforged).

Eberron isn't a "bad" campaign setting. It's just not a great one [:D]

Didn't Shoe tolds us that the reason for 4 warforged in this set is because 2 came as substitutions for 2 figures that got pulled out?

It was either on IRC or here.

I'm starting to like Eberron more and more. I think most ppl just need to give it a chance. They discount it before they even look at the material. Or if they look it over, they are grumbling the whole time and already have a negative view, so it doesnt "take" And then they say..well I gave it a chance. When in all honesty, they didnt. But thats me..
