My GM rewards packet showed up today.

The repaint is the GMR6 Xorn. The one I got is a lighter brown in color than the regular Xorn from the Underdark set, and isn't coated with the glossy wash that both of my Underdark Xorns have.

The template is the same "straight ahead" acid cone template that is being sent out in the retailer Campaign Kit for March.

The RPGA campaign cards get sent out with player rewards, and those haven't arrived yet.

More info on the RPGA rewards program is here:

Thanks for the info.

Any chance you can post pics of the Xorn repaint?

So the only way (aside from Ebay) to get these repaints is to run certain adventures as a GM/DM at a shop on certain days?

Wow, that sounds nice. So it's still the right colour, but a slightly different shade. And non-glossy makes a lot more sense for a burrowing creature.

My camera (and my photography skills) aren't the best for this sort of thing, but

[shameless plug for H/W list] I could probably get a clearer picture of it if I unbagged it, but I'm hoping to trade it away for some of the War Drums minis I want. [/shameless plug for H/W list]

You can also potentially sanction your home D&D game if you are a DM, if you have 4-6 players and everyone is willing to sign up for the RPGA.

You need to play a home game about four times a month if you play for five hours each sesssion to get the 20 points for each four-month "duration".

It's a lot easier to acquire the points if you run games at conventions or run the Mark of Heroes campaign modules, but even for an occasional home game (since the points roll over to the next duration if you don't reach 20) you would still eventually get a future GMR mini once you did reach 20 pts with home play.

I don't know why so many figures in Underdark had the "balor sweat" wash on them. Even with the extra heavy black wash on some of the War Drums figures, I still prefer the black wash to the extra glossy look of some of the Underdark figures.

For my home groups, I run Living Greyhawk, Mark of Heroes and home campaigns. I normally pick up 40-60 reward points per duration, or 2 or 3 minis worth. [:)]

Cheers!

I run MoH when the new modules are available, the adventures in Dungeon Magazine (they have an excellent running campaign at the moment - Age of Wyrms, up to 15-16th level now), Eberron published modules and when I have nothing new I run DM's Mark adventures. We play every weekend and have a good two day home game session. I usually score 4 GMRs. I used to keep two and trade the rest but I have changed my requirements and will only be keeping one from now on.

If anyone has extra repaints from the RPGA program and want to trade let me know. I have a bunch of Deathknell, Underdark and Wardrums available for trade. I should have my have/want list updated on this site soon.

Got mine in today. I love the template.

I would be more interested in doing the RPGA stuff if it wasn't Eberron adventures.

You don't need to do Erberon or anything from any of the normal campaign settings (Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk etc).

Take the Herald level GM test - get four mates around - give them an RPGA membership form to fill in and off you go. All you need to do then is a little paper work on the website to request and then sanction events. In all it takes about 5 mins.

The benefit of doing the MOH games is that you get more points. A home game counts for 1 point whilst a MOH game counts for 4. The dungeon adventures are worth 2 points each. To get each mini you need to have collected 20 points in a three month period.

What are you waiting for? You get free minis for playing D&D.

Cheers

Hey, not bad mini, I like the lighter paint job on the Xorn and the template looks great, as someone posted it ealier.

I need to take my test and become a RPGA DM. I would love to run some of the mini adventures.

You can run any home game that is Eberron, Forgotten Realms, Grayhawk, or other. (spell errors above?)

Based on how you described it it sounds like the war drums paint version of a xorn. [:p]

haha. I'll have to check out the Xorn and see if I want to get one. Does it look pretty much like the regular tho? I mean pretty close.. because if so I dont need it that much. I try to collect the repaints and such that are actually different, like the Burning Skeleton and Weretiger.
