| They look more useful for RPG than skimish, which is a good thing for me. I am engaged in an outdoor adventure right now and a couple of these maps are perfect for that.
I don't see any grid on the upper left one I don't know if thats because of the picture resolution or because there isn't one.Then again I don't see any grid on the green in any of the maps except the lower right so its probably just the picture.
They look different from the other maps I.E. mostly outside. I'm curious if there will be any new outdoors map rules.

| Sweet... Looks like the site is getting hit prettyhard (slow to load...)
I can't make out much details, but they do certainly all appear to be outdoor maps...

| Forested Terrain isn't impassible, it just counts as difficult terrain and provides cover. Those maps look very, very simple. Something I could make very easily. The top left one looks similar to something I started but decided was kind of boring. At least for DDM. Maybe for RPG a simple, outdoor, ambushed by bandits while wandering on the road, map is useful.

IIRC, and I could be very wrong, I thought someone mentioned flyers could land on top the pillars in one of the maps. I'm not sure how this would work in skirmish as it would seem to give a huge advantage to flyers with spells,breath weapons or ranged attacks.
I ran the french through a translation progam and it talks about young beholders and not using gauths,hopefully some of our french speaking members can give a real translation as this program is woefully inadaquate.

| love those maps, I was trying to find if they said any of previewed minis, but my french isn't what it used to be. seems that someone in Canada at least has a copy already.
Now, is someone willing to blow up the picture so we can see what creatures are used??? [:p]

| WOTC has put up a Field of Ruins excerpt HERE.
it says all the maps are skimish legal, but it doesn't specify if one is only legal for epic. It lists some of the monsters used in the RPG section skullcrusher ogres,howling orcs and half fiend ogres. It also confirmes that two of the maps can be joined into one, the two maps with the ruined buildings on them.

| I got my Field of ruin from Amazon today. I have not had time to really look over the map yet, But they seem rather plain. The monster in the modules include;
Skullcrusher Ogre Howling Orcs A 6th level Orc Rogue (no suggested mini) Ogre Mage an 8th level Orc Barbarian (no suggested mini) Half-fiend Ogre Tiefling Blademaster Large Earth Elemental Dire Bear Blue Slaad Fiendish Grillon Chaos Beast (no suggested mini) Fiendish Ettin Skirmisher Invisible Stalker (no suggested mini) Crimson Ooze (no suggested mini)
The only creature with a suggested mini from a set was the dire bear. The only creatures that could be hints are the Chaos Beast, Invisible Stalker, Crimson Ooze.

those would be quite nice as minis, add the Orc Rogue (got Orc Barbarian in Harbinger), and we coul be 4 steps closer to the full spoiler list of WotDQ.

| the bottom right is dungeon of blood, the top left is keep of fallen kings II, which is not legal. thw bottom left is keep of fallen kinds I, which i am purprised is not epic legal, as it has plenty of room for maneuverability.
