| Here is a quick crack at a possible list of commoners that could be useful. We already have plenty of guards, clerics, monks, religious types, and that sort. We have the Human Commoner "Farmer" already, and a few minis that can double as entertainers (Devis, and OrcDrummer!)...

| | Nobles/Aristocrats is a wonderful idea, and I'd be all for that. There's a lot of times I want to use a mini that isnt holding onto a weapon, and monks can only work some of the time. They still dont have the right feel in my opinion. More peices without weapons drawn would be a very big plus for me. And "rich" looking minis. And then "poor" looking minis. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |

Actually, i have no desire for non-combatants. Now, if they were crafty the way they designed some of the figs, that wouln't be too bad.

| Aristocrat - Ubercheap commander with little to no offensive ability Blacksmith - Expert with minimal combat ability, maybe gives everyone in your warband +1 attack due to superior smithing. Innkeeper - Gives all Adventurers -2 attack, but also the stagger abiltiy of the drunken master. Damsel/Princess - Give yor warband +2 on moral saves but counts double points for the purpose of victory points. Master Mercant - A low cost commander that gives you an additional 20 points to spend on your warband after you have seen your opponents list. Scribe - Ability scribe scroll, one or more uses. Allows a friendly spellcaster to refresh on of his 3rd level or lower spell slots. Bindlestiff - Cheap figure with stealth and the Etheral Filcher "filch" ability minus the removal from play part. Guildmaster - A medium cost commander with a little offense backed up with stealth and sneak attack. Gives all friendly figures with sneak attack +5 to their sneak attack damage.

| 8 commoners? That's now much... if there would be only 8, I'd say
male commoner female commoner beggar (sitting?) a dirty little child with longish hair (would pass as commoner boy or girl, or beggar) a lady a lord a merchant (fat, not too fancy) a slave
Runner-ups: A woman carrying a child, woman carrying an amphora, another few merchants for my marketplace [)]
oh dear, so many more would be needed, but I guess those would be most important. With about 20 or so, there would be a decent collection. A fixed non-combatant pack would be a great thing to do from WotC :) or even a minor set. | | Vindicated AtG Called shot: 2nd Huge Red Dragon My collected trade reference links Star Wars tactical combat -project My modelling/terrain pages Suomen miniatyyrikeräilijät / Miniature collectors of Finland | |

Good question but I don't think I want to know the answer....
I don't really have much use for non-combatants. I small dog would be good (not really a non-combatant). If they're going to make completely non-combatants they ought to go all the way. I'll take a Fop and a Dandy (can't have one without the other). I suppose they'd be able to make trip attacks with their canes [:P] | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. | Do you think WotC will give us such figures ? We could ask them to put at least one of them as uncommon in every set. For now I think their schedule is not including them.
I would like them a lot. On the other hand I understand that if the number of customers for them is not big (and I agree that it may be not big), they will never put the effort and the cost to produce them as independed product (a pack of them out of the normal series of sets).

Because you don't always find them in brothels. You can find them in the street, in the tavern, in the local thieve's guild, in an inn's room (sometimes with your aristocrat mini), etc. I'm not too railroady a DM, my players can start fights wherever they want... (at their own risk [}:)] ) Whores are a useful source on information in my games, as they often see and hear much in the streets, and are often linked to the local underworld. 1 or 2 uncommons per set would be cool. That would not raise the costs of a set, and would make many roleplayers happy (Arandae's petition looks quite successful).

| I just want more non-descript minis that are not holding weapons. They can be archane or divine spellcaster or what ever, but just make them non specfic enought to fill in for other things.
Example
a witch mini that is basically an old woman. She could have a combination of curses and minor healing. Likly LE
In RPG she could be a seer, a witch, a begger, old commoner, just about any old woman. Who says an old woman can't own a Bar.
