| Much like the TV show Deal or NO Deal... people have speculated if we will turn our Drow hero into the Epic hero he deserves.
Answer... how could we not?
So when? Soon Padawan soon. We like to make you guys drool in anticipation for a while. Like a GM playing with his players before unleshing the big boss monster on them.
Will he be in Kits or at shows> Yes. I make a good GM [}:)]
So one mystery is solved... he will be appearing... like you didn't know that [:o)]

| | I think the figure is already valuable enough that the card is going to have enough value without only releasing it at Gencon or another show. Hopefully it is in a retailer kit (or avilable both ways) so that it isn't too tough to get a copy. | |

Id rather not have a Drizzt resculpt. Hes to recognizable to use him in RPG other than as Drizzt. So a 2nd one isnt high on my list of wants.
Id like to see the Epic Card for the Archfiends one though. | |

| I'm worried that the epic could would only be given out at a Con. That makes even Retailer Kits epics look like they are everywhere. Do you realize just how rare it would be and cost? The epic card that is. To me, that would be just a bad bad thing. I dont want to spend $50 on ebay just for the epic card. I know you can download them eventually, etc.. but I still dont believe the epic cards should *start* out that high. Thats crazy in my opinion.
If they gave it out at a Con and in a retailer kit, then it wouldnt be so bad. I dunno, now I'm kind of worried about how much it'd end up costing to have one of those. I'm pretty sure he can take Artemis 1-on-1, though if Arty gets his Backstab to work, and gets to add a few kobold miners to provide flanking bonuses for some sneak attack, Arty would be favored. There's that 60- or 70-damage backstab conceal roll that becomes very key. | |

I'm not so sure. It really depends on how WotC treats it.
Go do a Ebay Search for Gen Con Dark Naga, and see what the price is for card and figure. Of course, a similar search for "edCon", has a high price.
The difference? the naga was handed out like candy, while Elminster was only produced in very limited quantities for the signing.

| Hey if they hand out *lots* of them, then great. I'd be more than happy with that. But as Vash said, the Dark Naga doesnt have the draw as something like Elminster or even Drizzt.
I'd be willing to bet even if there were more Elminsters given out and less Dark Nagas, that the Elminster would be going for more. Maybe I'd be wrong, but in my opinion I doubt it.
If they release lots of them, then I'll be happy enough. I'm just worried that at Gen Con or something like that, a few ppl would actually get multiples and then they would cost an arm and a leg to get. At least Retailer Kits are sort of spread out to various areas, and we roughly can guess how many are out. Obviously not exact or anything, but lots of stores get the retailer kits. We dont know just how many will go out at Gen Con, and that sucks.
I just want to be able to reasonably get an epic Drizzt card. Anyone can reasonably get an epic card of the ones that have been in the retailer kits. While sometimes they have gone really high, I've also seen them go for Uncommons, $2-$3, etc. While thats probbaly high for what they actualyl cost, I still consider it reasonable. $20+ isnt reasonable. So I hope whatever they do, there are lots available for the demand that will show. | |

| heh I'd be all for a new Drizzt before an epic card for the existing one. I have multiple Drizzt minis from Archfiends, that isnt the problem. The problem is how hard for newer players to get one, and even how hard it would be for ppl to get the epic card. Now the epic card could be fixed, if they released enough of them, then no problem. But for more ppl to get the mini, thats not really viable.
Some ppl see it as a reward to the ppl who have been collecting from the beginning. And thats fine. Personally I dont think there needs to be any kind of "reward". Having the minis, playing, etc seems to be the reward in my eyes. I know, your eyes are getting misty from all the sappiness heh. Anyways, but seriously I'd rather see a reward that the *whole* community can benefit from, then something only a few can.. even if they are the loyal fans who have been here years. I'd rather see the whole community gain something and be able to enjoy it =)
I really dont find Drizzt as so Unique he cant sub as a different drow. If anyone has ever read Salvatore's books, craploads of drow use the double sword style, even dual scimitars.
