| So far, we have UC Hill Giants (yay!), Trolls (double yay!), Ogre (yippee!), so when do you think WOTC will make UC minis for?:

| Or keep one so that you can have a leader.
Me, I think they'll do a Jarl and Frost Giant Mauler(unarmed raging grappler) at the same time, and I'd like to have 2 maulers, 2 normal frosties, and then 1 leader. So I'll hold onto mine.
For fire giants, I'd actually like to see a fire giant with a giant crossbow, since we already have sword-wielding grunts and leader.
For Stone Giants, they can just do a Hulking Hurler unique giant holding a rock over his head. | | Champion of the Aboleth, Prophet of Denizens. BW Called Shot: Babau, UH Called Shot: Aspect of Vecna | |

| I would not be surprised to see uncommon frost giant *and* uncommon fire giants in WotDQ.
These are powerful creatures. You'd have trouble fitting them into a piece that cost less than 80 points without making it a joke. Accordingly, they'd be best in sets that can handle powerful uncommon pieces.
The best sets for those are huge sets. The huge sets are primarily designed for epic play, so they can handle many creatures of very high power levels. Further, as uncommons will be slightly harder to come by than in a normal set (2 per booster, each booster costs $20 MSRP, 16 models - 1 of each uncommon on average per every $160 spent), this would be a great time to drop in the expensive and powerful uncommons without overwhelming us with expensive pieces.
In WotDQ, we know of ~55 figures in some fashion (including Merric's ***** *** **** list). It is entirely possible that he omitted the best figures entirely just to keep them a suprise until WotC was ready to announce the big news. It'd make sense to me to see there be normal frost giants wandering around at the heels of the giant on the mammoth. And, if they are already giving us frost, giving us fire wouldn't be hard to add... | | Champion of Meepo _*_ Myztek on the Wizards Boards. _*_ (2206 DDM on 03/06/06) Please note: The use of the indicates an attempt at humor ... often a bad attempt. | | I'd love another Ettin (maybe a female one?) and actually use them more than Frost Giants. But the fact that they have two heads will probably make them too difficult to sculpt as uncommons for some time, I guess. | I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembered Shoe's comment.
Ultimate meaning comes from how we define "set". If you choose to interpret "set" meaning "reached a sufficient number" (i.e. "We're set on Blue D20s, we need to add some more Greens") then we've seen just about all there is. If you interpret "set" to mean "focused" (i.e. We're set on sending that guy home with ZERO wins") then we have a different meaning indicating that we should be seeing more Uncommon Giants in the coming sets.
Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to divining meaning from Shoe's comments.
