| I kinda wonder what the point is, now. I mean, I'm sure the magazines will be more concerned with the visuals, and that's been spoiled. Are skirmish stats enough of a sweet treat? It makes me wonder if any magazines are upset with WotC...

| I don't think that the maxminis/WotC forums community will come away with much, but I'm sure many others will.
WDQ has been tough on the WotC crew...
As for preview stats, I think we've generally ridden the wire pretty close on that one. And now that our source has been revealed, I'm pretty sure that Wizards will take steps to make sure that doesn't get out early again. | |

No doubt. It would be kinda cool to have an event (panel discussion / coffee klatch / heavy drinking session) at GenCon with WotC folks titled, "Lessons learned from War of the Dragon Queen."

| Honestly, Jim, I don't think I'd want to be anywhere near that conversation. Then again, I'm pretty sure my opinions on several issues have been noted for future reference (and probably not in the good way).
On the "upside" of things, I rec'd the new Dragon today. It's got a NICE demononicon-and-on, some Eberron stuff (although reasonably easy to "port" to a different setting from the looks of it) and some other stuff that didn't look terribly interesting to me. Although the bit about the Annis Hags was mildly interesting.
The Stirge is on a clear base according to the 3-shot. Other minis are the Aspect of Tiamat and the Yuan-Ti Sorcerer (oddly listed as the Yaun-Ti...).

| It was pretty much just to show the minis. Nothing new (except the Stirges clear base).
Still, hearing that the base for the Stirge is pretty cool. I mean, I expected it to be painted black. I guess not. | |
