| Well, I guess I am out of the running here, but I think I may have nailed one of them down with the Cleric of Corellon, so now I am going to post random thoughts in hope that someone else comes up with the missing link.
The one thing that I keep thinking about is the 2 references to Kobolds. It seems WAY to obvious to have it be the DragonWrought Kobold from the new set, and I can't imagine that as Epic anyways. That leaves Meepo, the Kobold Sorcerer and the Kobold Champ as possibles, but unlikely. By and odd coincidence the Kobold Warrior is number 48(hours/Eddie Murphy clue) in Harbinger, but I can not imagine it getting an epic card.
Next random step in this chain is what chases after Kobolds, and as we all know, Kobolds most hated enemy is Gnomes. With four of them to choose from, I think Nebin and the Cleric of Garl are the only 2 that are worth choosing, and I can't tie any of the other clues to them, unless you count the fact that Nebin has ranged spells, which he can shoot off at enemies(Melf's Acid Arrow).
The last step in this speculation is the possible 48 clue, which looking at set numbers gives us a bunch of things that have already been guessed, including the Chuul, Frost Giant, Steel Pred. I am just wondering if anyone has tried the Grey Render yet; he might make an interesting epic. Then we have the 48 point minis that might make the cut:Justicator(has a card), Valorous Prince(guessed), Arcane Archer, Brass Dragon, Half-Orc Paladin, Arcane Balista,Yaun-ti Abomination, Champion of Ellistrae and Hunched Giant.
I hope this helps someone get their mental juices flowing and put together a clue that I missed. | |

In addition to Drizzt and Archmage, I'll go with:
Hunched Giant and
Cleric of Garl Glittergold
The Hunched Giant is 48 pts, which fits the "48 Hours" clue. He also does 25 damage with his attack, which could be what "on the 25th hand" was referring to.
The Cleric is admittedly a real stretch, but noone has guessed it yet, and it casts Ring of Blades, which is the best I could come up with for the "wedding" clue.
I doubt I'm right, but I guess we'll find out tomorrow...
Edit: Hah. Looks like I wasn't the only one crazy enough to guess the Cleric of Garl after all. Great(ly disturbed) minds think alike? [:p] | |
