That would be... counter-productive. Many people don't buy sight-unseen.
I think we'll learn much about the set at GenCon. I am just annoyed about the lack of a booster photo, because it breaks my "information availability schedule." Last year, we had the Underdark booster pic in May, if not earlier. | |

| | Was really hoping for the box art to get a nice preview of three figures (well two, we know one is the marilith). I noticed they didn't mention the Fiendish Codex. Maybe because the minis they did from this book are also in another source like MMI and MMIII. | |

I really hope thay stick with 8 minis per booster, I like the 24/24/12 distribution of normal sets. Why is everybody so afraiod of a price change? Any WotC hints in that direction?

I really hope not, but having WotDQ have 8 minis instead of 9 in a huge pack doesn't bode well for the future.

Perhaps. I know the Rutterkin, Mane, Chasme and Bar-Lgura appeared in the Book of Vile Darkness. Armanite I'm fairly sure appeared in some other book (manual of the planes, or something). Yochlol (hand maiden of lolth) is in Monsters of Faerun I think.
I think the molydeus makes its first 3.x appearance there though, which would be a shame if we didnt get one. It was always a favorite of mine... at least I still have my ral-partha one. They made some very fine planescape minis towards the end of their run.
They do mention the minis handbook, so I'm guessing we'll see an Aspect of Asmodeus, which is peachy with me. A cool looking horned demon guy thats generic enough to be several different creatures as needed.
They could probably do 60 different minis related to devils and demons and I'd still hope for another set based around the same theme. | |

He does, and it's about darn time -- I'd been waiting for his updated stats ever since 3rd Edition hit the shelves! :) (For the record, it was well worth the wait, and I do hope he's one of the minis in Blood War...)

| The info in this blurb may not be accurate, in the end. Specifically, the source books may not be the final list of source books. These things can be missed when the description of one set is cut and pasted to get the next set description...
I am really hoping that we get an uncommon Chasme... I love those things, because I get to use my 'Waspinator' voice when I DM them... | |
