I have a Mad Slasher mounted on a Formian Warrior base.

Is it possible that this is a manufacturer mistake or did someone just glue it on themselves? If it was done by someone else; they did a very good job.

it could possibly be a manufacturer mistake. Things like that happen, but I highly doubt it will be worth anything extra. Just kind of a neat little quirk really.

Totally freaky.

But things like that happen. I wouldn't expect there to be much demand unless a number of them were discovered. That tends to be the way things work out. One is a fluke, but 1500 is a collector's dream.

It's kind of cool in a way because the Formian & Slasher requires 4 points for 4 legs to be glued into the base. In order for the Slasher to fit on the Formian base, the mini needed to be attached backwards...but it fits perfectly.

Yes there is lot of people that collect bad manufactured miniatures, is a subculture inside of the hobby, like an elite.

I Hate miniatures that comes with the base little burned or melted, i have a Bloodhulk that his base is imposible to read.

Have you ever noticed that for a lot of figures, the mini's body and the base are one piece?

Shoot an email to LurkingLidda. She can probably give you some insight. Sounds like a production error.

Most of them, in fact. The ones where figure and base are entirely seperate are defintiely in the minority. Even multi-part minis usually have at least one part moulded with the base attached.

Yeah I'll do that. I'd hate to sell the thing for a Million Dollars only to find out that some kid in Kansas glued the mini to the base [:p]
You can actually see a tiny bit of glue residue around the legs, but I have a bunch of minis that you can see the glue coming out of the holes where legs are inserted.

I first noiced it when studying the War Troll's feet. Also note that the Small fire Elemental is the same way - the bottom of the base with the label is basically a "plug."
