| Well, given the clues he gave, the cost involved Pennies. The original purchaser already paid for the cases and they are just taking up space. The warehouse needs that space. He paid 99 cents for the LOT.
Add in sales tax for Utah, and the whole lot comes to 1.08
Divided that by the fact that there are 16 boosters a case and there are 14 cases...
I bid 0.01 !

| I thought I would do 5 minutes of internet research to help me with my guess. Your profile says you are from Utah, so I decided to check into the sales & use tax rates for that state. No help at all. For such a sparsely populated state they certainly hav a byzantine tax structure.
I am going to go with $25 per case.
I'll take a stab in the dark and guess the warehouse is in a 6.50% rate area.
This makes my guess $1.66 per booster. | |

I only stated my opinion. You can take that however you want.
My FLGS still has an unopened CASE of DEATHKNELL boosters. So you can take yours and shove it. I just don't care any more.

| My guess is $0.07 a booster. The truth of the matter is that I can't believe anybody really got this lucky, and this is all some sort of late 'April Fool's Day' joke. Then again, somebody has to hit the lottery, and this is pretty comparable.
Personally, I'd recommend opening one case to make sure that the boosters are ok... it'd suck if the reason why they were never sold is that they were left in a basement too close to a boiler and they all melted into piles of goo.
If nobody guesses correctly, is there any chance you can run a booster draft with the one case you were going to give away? Do something like charge $40 a person, limit it to 8 people, and do it at a convention or something? You'd more than make your money back, it'd be sharing your good fortune, and it would give people an opportunity to play with these hard-to-come-by minis.
Just a thought... and congrats, you lucky dog.
