Is there anyone here that works for them that can give a little better update? My credit card was debited on 6/30/06 and their email states "If you paid by credit card, please be aware that we may charge your card a few days before the shipment actually goes out.". That being the case(no pun intended) I should have received the email stating it was shipped yesterday at the earliest. As of today I'm still in the still processing mode on their site. I'm sure a lot of people that ordered and are reading these threads would like a better update.

I think they had some problems. I gave in and preordered, with intentions of canceling the order if I didn't like what I was seeing with the set. Between the pics I've seen and the prerelease, I was satisfied this set was going to be better, so I let my order stand.

I got a shipping notice over the weekend (which surprised me) and a UPS tracking number. I checked that number for days, but like others have reported, it only said "Received billing info" - nothing about shipping. I sent GO email, and a nice customer rep named Miriam responded. We exchanged a few emails, and ultimately this is what I learned:

"Thank you for your patience. We apologize for the confusion. Our shipping department sent out the notifications of shipment in error. In fact your order did not ship at the time of the notification, but is shipping on time this week. You can expect your order to arrive later this week or very early next week. We do our very best to ship orders such as yours as close to the release date as possible while respecting the manufacturers requirement that items not be delivered prior to the scheduled release date set by the manufacturer."


I'm guessing that they got some serious flack from WoTC after War Drums shipped and was received early by tons of people, and so they made sure that they didn't ship out WotDQ cases too early. I'd also guess that the left hand maybe didn't tell the right hand that, so they got everything queued up and ready to go ... and then were told to wait before actually shipping.

Same thing goes for those that are still processing ... they may have started moving on everyone's orders, and then were told to hang back to make sure they didn't ship early.

Have you sent them email or called them?

As of now, not yet but I did have the fortune of working with Miriam on an issue and she was extremely helpful.
Like quite a few other orders that were taken, I was part of the "first wave" and hope that I'll receive my shipment of 4 cases tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. If I don't receive them by then, I'll start contacting them.

My email notification came 12 hours after it had already shipped. So the person sending the emails is probobly behind.

That's happened to me on a couple shipments. Since I'm so close to the warehouse, I've even gotten confirmation emails after I actually receive the product.

I know last time (Wardrums) I received shipping confirmation the same day I received the minis - but I live in Illinois. I'm hoping that's the case again and they show up tomorrow, or at least Monday as I've got plans to play a few sealed games with friends.

I live in Illinois as well. The last 4 sets I've got cases from GO and, except for wardrums, I haven't got a shipping email they just show up the monday or tuesday after release. I'm hoping this is the case with WOTDQ they charged my card monday but no shipping email yet.

Well I live in Mass and got my cases today, but have yet to recieve an email from GO telling me they were shipped...

Happened with Underdark too, got the cases, then later got the email...

Built the addition for this addiction, now on to the "gaming table" project....

Aries, I know some companies will print out the labels ahead of time and then ship when they get the products. I had that happen when I ordered deathknell cases. I got the tracking numbers and it was like a week later when I was able to track the boxes.

I have the opposite problem.

1.I preordered 14 cases in May.
2.I cancelled my order in May.
3.GO confrimed the cancellation.
4.I recieved an email on June 30th stating the shipment had left and my credit card was charged.
5.I got really pissed off and stomped around at having been charged $1050 when I shouldn't have been.
6.I called and emailed GO multiple times. They agreed to cancel the shipment and stop it from being sent and credit the money back to my account.
7.12 cases arrived today (they only recalled 2) and they still HAVE NOT given me my money back (tomorrow I'll be charged interest on the $1050 by my credit card company). Thus they did not do either of the things they said they would after a week.
8.More stomping and pissed offness. I contact my credit card company and alert them to the fraudulent charge. I contact GO again with a not too nice email (this is the 3rd in a series).

I found this on the Federal Trade Commision Web Site:
" Unordered Merchandise
Whether or not the Rule is involved, in any approval or other sale you must obtain the customer’s prior express agreement to receive the merchandise. Otherwise the merchandise may be treated as unordered merchandise. It is unlawful to:

1. Send any merchandise by any means without the express request of the recipient (unless the merchandise is clearly identified as a gift, free sample, or the like); or,
2. Try to obtain payment for or the return of the unordered merchandise.

Merchants who ship unordered merchandise with knowledge that it is unlawful to do so can be subject to civil penalties of up to $11,000 per violation. Moreover, customers who receive unordered merchandise are legally entitled to treat the merchandise as a gift. Using the U.S. mails to ship unordered merchandise also violates the Postal laws."

Yukon, You dog. they have always shipped to me from the east
coast...past 5 sets. I had no idea they even had a warehouse
near here. The question is, "why the different shipping scenarios
for practically the same shipping destination?" Interesting,
except I always have to wait 'till monday for the stuff to
arrive, cause it never gets to the UPS hub in time on friday.

I haven't gotten any shipping notification yet, so prolly
won't get till next week.

Really, IHawk? Wow. That sucks.

War Drums and COTF came through without a hitch, but a number of shipments before that took forever. If they're going back to their old ways, I might just need to find another dealer...er...merchant, to get me my fix...um...cases.

Well, finally got notice - and shipping from Duluth! Monday, which is good enough since I have family visiting this weekend anyway and wouldn't want to have them wondering why I was hiding in the basement all weekend playing with my toys.

I did receive the first wave e-mail, but had not heard from them. I sent an e-mail on Wednesday and asked if they had any idea on when my order would be shipped generally, this week or next or when. GO responded that the order should be going out this week. However, I still have not received the shipped e-mail. Hopefully the boxes or the e-mail will appear soon at a home where I live.

Received my "your package from GO has been shipped" on 6/30/06. Package was actually shipped on 7/05/06 with delivery scheduled for today 7/07/06. Incidentally, my package is being shipped from Illinois...not Massachusettes...which is much closer to where I reside in New Jersey.

I was beginning to wonder when my opening day order was going to get shipped. I received the shipping notice last night but I never did get a chance to check on its progress. I cam in from mowing all morning and had a nice big package waiting for me.

Now I only hope I got cases with the mixed up rare distribution since I've found a Tundra Scout in one and Dracolich in the other.

I'm not a lawyer, but I can tell you with certainty that "unordered merchandise" does not apply to your situation.

Since you gave your consent for the items to be shipped to you when you placed the original order, the fact that your order was not cancelled as agreed does not make the merchandise that was shipped to you "unordered".


My opinion (no certainty implied or provided):

It's likely that Gameoutfitters will offer to pay for the return shipping, but it's very unlikely that they are going to write off $1000 of merchandise and let you keep all of it. I suspect that the original order would be sufficient to create an obligation to pay for the merchandise or return it.

I know that.
I don't want these cases. I have no trouble sending them back, but I want them to credit back my account first like they were supposed to do last week.
I have sent them repeated emails to refund the money and they still have not. They have held onto this money for over a week now. I was charged interest by my credit card copmany today. I am furious with gameoutfitters right now (the original mistake is understandable, but their repeated refusal or inability to refund me is ridculous).

I am tracking my cases through UPS and they just left hodgkins, IL on 07/07/2006 at 11:25 A.M.

Get your credit card company on your side. Tell them you canceled the order and were billed anyway.
