My orge skirmishers are really lending. About a 50 degree angle. Is this the standard or are mine extra tilted. [?]

Not really complaining, because I think they are a great looking piece, and a lot of fun to play.

Ogres normally lend at 21% APR [)]

I haven't seen an OS yet, so I can't comment on their ability to stand straight. I will say that my twig blights are all doing the limbo.

I got eight, they're pretty much upright. Dunno if that helps any.

I've got a couple of "leaners." My big problem is the javelins being all warped.

Silly Jim! Those are boomerang-brand spears! They come back several rounds later! That's why they only get one ranged attack. [)]

I'm not sure about the Skirmisher, but a number of figs are twisting their way to the chiropractor. I have a Barney (Thanks, Jim!) that's just about face-planting and several Kobold Zombies that are lurching along.

It's nothing that a few cold nights (and a hot space heater) won't fix.

Sorry, man. He seemed fine when I sent him, but honestly, I didn't look at him too hard, and just put him right in my trade box...

Glad ya got the stuff.

Yea the kolbolts are pretty flexiable. A couple on might were literaly lying flat on the base. They are a little more understandable because they are soon small.

Each of my Ogre Skirmishers look pretty good...standing-wise. I agree about the kobold zombies though. Most of mine look like they are in starting blocks ready to race the 100m dash!

The man who thinks he can, and the man who thinks he can't are both right. Which one are you?

Yeah, the Ogre Skirmisher leans a bit, but that's the least of WotDQ's problems. What about those friggin' Griffin Cavalry?! !!!
Those are least practical sculpts to date. I mean, as cool as the conept was, it totally was unnecessary. I wish I could buy some "factory fresh" models.

In fact, I refuse to use the pieces until either my rubberband routine, box stuffing, and/or hot water/freezer methods actually fix the problem.

there was a nice fix posted by someone here or on WOTC about remounting the griffon in a horizontal postion on a clear pole. I think I try that one I get some time.

I wonder if it still would be legal?

One of my OS is leaning (haven't had the time to fix it), the other came out nice and straight. I must have gotten lucky with my Griffin Calvary because it stands up without me needing to fix it, but I know my friend pulled 3 of them and two of them needed fixing. I think his two OSes were straight.

The Dragonwrought Kobold was the biggest leaner in our group's minis. Looks like his wings just grew in and they're too heavy.

I agree the spear couldn't be less straight. It looked to me like there was a piece of plastic added just to make sure it wouldn't be straight.

Also, with the griffin Cavalry. Who cares if it topples on it's own. First time anybody tries to reach over it to move another piece it's going down anyway. Even once fixed.

I have 6 and they all stand straight and they look find except that the spears, on all of them, are considerably curvy at the front (the only unglued to the body part).

The vas majority of my kobold zombies are doing the limbo...

Both of my Ogres are fine, as is my only Twig Blight. Only 1 of my 3 Kobolds is laying down on the job, so I guess I've been pretty lucky so far.

Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say "Ni" at will to old ladies.

That was me. I repositioned it so it was pouncing upright with the rider straight up on the saddle. Yes, it's still legal as a figure.

My Ogre Skirmishers are leaning into their javelin tosses, but not enough to make the figure unbalanced. The only really bad one I've had so far is the pancake-flat Dragonwrought Kobold.

I must say the Ogre's spear is surprisingly OK on my 4 skirmishers. Wish my THREE Tundra Sprouts would not have a bendy spear in addition to their terrible paint job (or rather lack thereof). Despite the "protection".

Well, we shouldn't complain, things were worse before... (how many longswords we have look like scimitars?)

Cheers
Al.

It's over 100 degrees where I live. I just got a Large Fang Dragon in the mail. It has the most flexible base I have ever seen. Must be the heat.

Is lending the British way of saying leaning?

No worries, it's easily "fixed". Heck until last winter it would have stayed bent over. Now I'm a littl more sure of myself.
