I don't think Raistlin will be a low-value rare, long term. Don't know if you were around when Archfiends came out, but Drizzt started low when it was first released. Raistlin may not start as hot as a Large White Dragon, but I like his odds of climbing in the long run. | |

Any word on rarity? I recall that those who saw the Raistlin mini this winter said that it was an uncommon. The others must surely be rares, no?

So you guys don't think a line 12 attack every round will be cool?? I think that sounds pretty awesome, for purposes of Skirmish anyway. I think it will be a range 12 attack each round, OR a single use [] line 12 attack, but not combined.

| hmm, they're all cool with me, even the weird winged lich elf thing. Sure its not instantly usable as anything else, but it is begging to be made into some kinda BBEG- or some sort of demon (can a demon even become a lich? If so, cool and now we can have a succubus lich!)

I'm more concerned about the fact that two of them are conditional repaints.
Right place at the right time? Sounds like Con exclusives.
This feels me with great disappointment. I made the same conclusion. I can't get to a convention, and the price will likely be silly as a result. I was excited to find out they were doing a repaint and very disappointed to learn I wouldn't be getting one.

Con exclusive Raistlin sucks. For those of us who can't attend the Con, the $60-100 this thing'll fetch on the secondary market(that doesn't exist BTW) is out of reality as well. Please, enough with the exclusive rares. Commons and Uncommons I don't mind, but to take a figure that most people collecting these minis wants and limit it's availability is just wrong. I also fail to see how it could possibly be justifiably fair to feel obligated to put Wulfgar in a set so people won't be required to plunk down the cash for him in the Icon pack if they don't want the Gargantuan White and then do something like this, which essentially forces the same issue.
Perhaps the Wulfgar will be painted......
I agree. If Wulfar is distinctively repainted, I won't feel as bad about getting two different ones. I already preordered that icon pack.

| The paint job on Raistlin and Wulfgar are a bit meh for me. Considering they are rares I expected them to look a little better. Still, more human mage and barbarian figures are welcomed. Depending on how much they are worth they may be kept or used as trade bait.  The Eberron mini looks to be too out there to be of much use in my RPG games. Personally I am more excited about the Kuo-Toa's than these 3 minis.  Olaf the Stout | |

| Interesting preview, Raistlin looks great-interesting sounding abilities, Wulfgar is nice(he looked better after a second look-my first look at him was uninspiring), also hoping that he might be different in the Icons pack since that has been pre-ordered, Lady Vol is not one I would search out but the concept is definitely interesting being a dragon/undead/elf mix.
Also thought it interesting since its been brought up before that they won't make minis without published stats-sounds like since they wanted to make this mini they made stats for her. | |

| i think WoTC marketing team is really screwing up in this set.
if you want to make the minis as usefull as possible, why are they coming out with a shadow dragon in the very next set after a black dragon? they could of easily subsititued one for the other in RPG, so coming out with them 4 or 5 sets apart would of been more ideal
raistlin, aka, war wizard wanna be, could have easily been used as your old man wizard, but we just got on in the last set so who needs one?
people have been crying for a wulfgar, and we finally found out we were getting one in september, and wait, now we get one in july too? way to make the iconic set not so valuable
lady vol....well...i just dont know about this one. sounds like it will be very costly, so probly will be sucky for skirmish. LE just got a very expensive, sucky in skirmish piece in count strahd last set. ok, hes not horrible but hard to justify using him. | |

| Awesome Preview... WOTC made my day. Being one of the few Eberron mini fans for DDM I am so looking forward to getting Vol.
I love her spolier ability spells.
Rastlin mini pic is the same with great detail, Great mage burn ability for either damage or higher DC!

| I'm really not a fan of iconics at all, but it's very nice to see Raistlin - he's one of the few actually worth producing.
I already have half a dozen or so Barbarian Mercenaries from Dragoneye, so Wulfgar is entirely superfluous.
Erandis d'Vol doesn't totally wow me, but I don't hate the figure either; I love Eberron, and they've given her an interesting look, but I wouldn't have really picked her for an iconic. With the 'Eyes of the Lich Queen' adventure just released, though, I suppose it makes sense from a marketing perspective.

I agree, too. Still too soon to name it Best Set ever, but if it includes uncommon Fire and/or Frost Giants, uncommon Ogres and uncommon Umber Hulks, then we are in business.

1. koa toas-want at least a dozen of commons and 3-4 uncommons. great for rpg and far superior to original
2. Frost giant jarl. looks great
3. Raistlin -been wanting this 1 for a long tim
4. wulfgar-far superior to any human barbarian min made so far. cant wait to team him with drizzt . huge fan
6. lady vol-never heard of her but could be interesting
7. large white-bout time.
8. alhoun-more mind flayers the better
hopefully the set gives us a few more underdark type minis. I expect a couple of undead carryovers from unhallowed | |

Wulfgar - Should have been in the Icon set only! But his pic looking great. When the Icon set was announced at the convention, it was also said that Wulfgar and Drizzt would appear in regular sets also. This isn't a surprise. The only surprise is getting Wulfgar before the Icon set.

| Another Wulfgar? WTF is that about? What a great way to completely waste a slot in the set! Does that mean there will be another Drizzt in this set?
This will be strange because there will be 2 Wulfgars with the same sculpt but different bases. For trading purposes, I guess the Icon Wulfgar will be treated sort of like a Promo. It'll be interesting to see if people value them the same or not.

I really doubt that. The preview says it will be available to people in the right place at the right time. That wouldn't fit with an icons pack, where anyone forking out the retail price can get one (or the discount they find somewhere).

I can't quite remember, but I think it would be a green dragon. I base this on a partial memory of reading the 3rd book in the Brother books on what I think are not only wyrmlings which I at first thought were green nipping at them near the end of the book (but could be multiple colours) but also that there was a major green dragon somewhere in the book that either attacked a favoured red dragon of the dragon queen or was the favoured one in question attacked by a red dragon. Maybe even the red was favoured but Takhissis (agghhh.....spelling) didn't like a cowardly attack or something on the green. Could have just been filler, so I repeat, I really don't remember that much. | |
