| Sorry for being away for a few days, I haven't dissapeared off the face of the earth though. Just some things came up. Mainly I've been working, I get paid next Friday.
With that money I plan to buy some more boxes, packing foam and ship to at least 5-8 more people.

| Pardon me -Lance-, but are we not in month six of this ordeal that is your sole creation? I think cynicism is about the only reasonable response to your endless excuse saga.
Why anyone would take you at your word on this matter is totally beyond me. Back in April, I intentionally conducted my dealings with you outside the public forums. I suspected that you might drop your false prostestations of innocence if I allowed you the option to make good on your botched trade with me under cover of email. Lo and behold, I was totally right. Once I told you that I would not join the public movement building against you, my minis came back to me.
I don't think that I am bound to any kind of silence. I don't think anyone here has any reason to let up on you, to trust in your promises, or to believe your sob stories. I think that you're only caving in to your obligations because people are pestering you about them, and you're afraid of trouble with the law or your parents.
Honestly -Lance-, it doesn't even matter why or even if you lie. Your high school dramas are boring, unconvincing, and so, so old. Six months old, in fact. Just send the minis back and end this.
14 returns are pending. We await a list of DCs.

Tomorrow will be one week since -Lance- told us that "the following will be shipped on Monday or Tuesday." No updates, other than updated excuses (consider a new thread "-Lance's- excuses?).

| Hear, hear, Corim. I'm a college professor with a newborn child to raise and a dissertation to finish. And yet, I somehow manage to find the time to get trades in the mail in a timely fashion. Unless you're using spent uranium as packing material, a package of minis costs about 2-3 bucks to ship. Borrow the money from your parents or buds if that's what it takes, but GET THE MONKEY OFF YOUR BACK. About thirty dollars and a trip to the USPS is a small price to pay to be a man and get this resolved.
Corim is right: an important part of "having a life" is to honor your committments.
Stoat, it just may be that people who are owed minis have just given up. That may be what -Lance- is counting on. Keep on him.
PROVE ME WRONG, -Lance-, rub my big fat face in it. Ship those minis TODAY!

| A few posts back someone mentioned that we who await the return of our minis should speak up. Problem is, most of likely have little to say that is civil. Some of us might even get our wrists tagged by the moderators... :)
Those of waiting for our miniatures to be returned are likely (as I am) positively bored by the litany of preadolescent excuses that Lance has bothered to post (bothered after we threatened, nagged, cajoled...). Clearly we have been expecting more mature behavior from a gentleman who's bohemian lifestyle is more important to him than his reputation. His lackluster performance has left me a tad unfriendly and certainly more than pessimistic about trading online.
If ever I have dealt with someone in dire need of Boot Camp, Lance is candidate #1. Get some spine, boy!
Here's some great options for you, Lance, to resolve our "balance of trade" difficulties:
Send me a Money Order (for my minis and postage losses)
Send me my minis (you still have them according to your lists)
Send me your minis (here's a thought- COMPLETE the trade!)
Send me a freakin' email (you never write or visit, ever)

| Funny--just looking at page 1 of this thread. Someone saying "Hey -Lance-, did you send my Harbinger Troll yet? I haven't received it." Boy, little did we know.
Well anyhow, I think he's gone.. If he's blown all of you off this long (after insisting that "you will see DCs in the next few days"), my guess is that he's just kicking back and laughing.
Hopefully, those of you getting ripped off won't just let that slide. Seems like -Lance- pacified the loud complainers, and now is just letting the rest of you rinse away in his thieving wake. Hopefully those of you left without your minis will renew the fight with vigor. I'm happy to make suggestions about how to pursue this matter further (as I and many others already have) if you want my input.
If you guys let this guy off the hook, it's a serious tragedy. This is the weaseliest kind of deception, and this guy should be taken to task. It seems to me that there *are* avenues for recouping your losses.
Having said that, you should consider this guy to be in true getting-away-with-it gloat: smirkingly building warbands with your minis in one hand while giving us all the finger with the other. | |

| I'm not kicking back and laughing, I'm not building warbands with your minis. Minis that are owed to people are sitting in sealed, addressed boxes waiting to be shipped, They are not being traded, played with, etc. I haven't even played more than 3-4 games since this ordeal started, and in recent memory, none at all.
I'm sorry that there are delays, but they will be shipped when they can be. If things work out, this coming weekend or sometime this coming week are looking very good for shipping the 6-7 packages I said I would. Harrassing me isn't going to help. Some of you are showing how childish you are when I have to go through my emails and delete at least 1-2 emails that are nothing more than cursing, harrassment and threats on a daily basis. (This isn't all of you, just some individuals, who never post here in a civil manner, but love to email me threats of physical harm on a daily basis, what does that achieve?)
I would also appreciate it if only individuals I owe minis to would post here, I don't need sttmxn's propaganda every 2-3 posts. He's just making it into something it's not.

Yeah, I know. Your gauth is in a box waiting to be shipped, it's just when I can ship it. (I've been so busy with the first week of school here that it's been near impossible to get to the post office) As I said, either this weekend or this coming week are looking very good. You made it into a problem that going to drag into another month. It's really simple if you do the math.
1 box to ship=roughly about $2 with dc. How many people are still waiting for their figs, 7? 7 x 2=14. Can't afford $14 to complete your agreed upon trades?
Actually it is not propaganda what sttmxn is doing. I beleive it is doing the community a favor because you have not made good on your trades and from your ref list from dropping from everyday sight. | |

I promised to ship 6-7 then once they are confirmed as having been recieved, ship the rest...I've had some obviously bad experiences shipping 10-15 packages at once.

Are you now claiming that certain volumes of mail are the issue? Are you suddenly a numerologist? What happened to the whole money excuse? -Lance-, no one here has any reason to buy your lies. 6 months into your charade, is it reasonable for anyone here to believe that you have a tidy stack of 15 packages of minis fully prepped in your bedroom that you earnestly wish you could find time to take to the post office?
If you had a lick of concern for the people you owe minis to, you'd deal with this. Your actions make it clear that you think the people here are a bunch of goats that you can just rob blind and jerk around.
I'm lying? I'll let my fellow Maxminis users judge for themselves. As for my "propaganda," I'm a member of this community, and your crimes affect the integrity of our trading environment. If you get away with this, who's next? You don't get to dictate who posts about your deception. I never recieved any miniatures from you, so I will not be reimbursing you seeing how nothing ever arrived...sounds like you're just trying to jump on the band wagon and get some free minis, or maybe the Postal Service screwed you like it screwed me.

Honor is a dead concept at best. Plus, even if it wasn't, honor has nothing to do with this. I have not stolen anything. I have not scammed anyone. I have not been malicious in my dealings with maxminis members. (Though they believe I have been) It's easy to make me out to be the culprit rather than the US Postal Service. It's also easy to say I'm still "playing" the victim, when in fact I am.
The only reason I'm even agreeing to reimburse users is because I have no ability to defend myself against Mail Fraud charges without delivery confirmation codes. My only regret is that I didn't ship everything with DC rather than just a few packages. This entire ordeal has turned me completely off of minis, not that it would have mattered if I still liked them in the first place, because once this is over, I'll have nothing left.
