I noticed sometimes that some of you use a lot more smilies than listed via the smilie-button. How do you do that? And will the smilie-list be upgraded with the next site-upgrade?

I believe that there is a stickied list in the Off Topic section. Just link the image from the information in that post, and you should have all sorts of non-standard smilies available to you.
