Unfortunately, if you check the box to enable display of your email address, it is available to everyone, not just members, and is subject to being harvested by spam-bots.
There doesn't appear to be a way to view a user's "managed" profile, so at the moment there doesn't appear to be a secure way to allow only members to access your email address... | | | |

There was a plan to eventually have access to the old forum posts at www.maxminis.com/old/ and at that point the mirror at maxminis2.brinkster.net might go away, but I don't know how long they plan to keep the old forum software running.
On the new site, they have added a very basic "Member List" page (accessed through the toolbar when you are logged in), which has a complete list of users. You can click on the "get details" link to get that particular user's email address.
