| I'm available Monday, Tuesday and Friday nights after 7:30pm Pacific and on Wednesday and Thursday after 6pm. Weekends are up in the air so I'd rather play during the week.
tullywi and Kyuketsuki, let me know when you want to play.
For this week's scenario, are we using these rules?
"This scenario hinges on eliminating key memebers of the opposition.
Victory:
Before starting play, both players line up their warbands where they can be seen. Both of you secretly select the name of a creature in your warband and one in your opponents warband. Then you simultaneously reveal the names of the creatures you have chosen.
To win, you must eliminate both the enemy creature you chose and the enemy creature your opponent chose. If you both chose the same creature, you only have to eliminate that creature to win.
If your warband has multiple minatures of a creature that is "marked for death", you must indicate which of them you chose. If you ad your opponent both name the same kind of creature, only the one you specified is "marked for death""
This is what we listed in GodEmporer's campaign, but I really didn't like it. I'd rather see each person designate one figure before reveal. After reveal you designate a new one for your opponent, that way everyone has 2 marked for death figures. What does everyone think? I just feel it's kind of lame to have a major advantage because you happened to "guess" what your opponent picked.

| To win, you must eliminate both the enemy creature you chose and the enemy creature your opponent chose.
--Does eliminate include causing the creature to rout and flee the battlefield? I would hope so, it would be really unfair if I could prevent my opponent from winning by having the two creatures leave the battlefield.
If you both chose the same creature, you only have to eliminate that creature to win.
--I agree with Takasi that this sounds a little unfair. On the other hand, how would one prove which figure they selected before hand? I guess mark it when you post the warband, then both choose a figure after warbands are revealed.

| "Does eliminate include causing the creature to rout and flee the battlefield?"
It should be the same conditions for scoring victory points.
Also, it should be noted that support troops, minions, companions etc are not valid targets to mark for death.
"how would one prove which figure they selected before hand?"
It should be done during reveal, just like assigning magic items. If you don't do this then your opponent should get to mark both of them. :)

| Hey guys, very sorry for being so slow this week. I'm getting too busy at home. There is a provincial election coming up in May and I'm involved in the campaign.. and with the way the Federal scene is going, it's possible a federal election called too [B)] which I'm also involved in..... oh boy. Also, I'll be out of province for the first two weeks of May (1-14).
Thus I ask, is there anyone willing to take up the torch for the Eternal Campaign for the next month?
It would be greatly appreciated =)

That would be the Inspiring Marshal (if you haven't already noticed). 10 PM should work for me, unless you're in a radically different time zone (I'm in Central). I can play tomorrow or Friday around that time no problem. Let me know when you want to do this.
Galneweinhaw, when are you up for our game? I'm good on weekdays from about 8-11PM (Central) and I should be free most of the weekend. | Hello Takasi,
Thursday night isn't very good for me. I might be able to sneak in a match 10 PM or later my time (8-9 for you). I would prefer to play Friday night about the same time. I can also play Saturday or Sunday night about the same time.
Let me know. | | | |

| | Also, I goofed up my warlord feat from last round. I took a 2nd Quick Cast, but the rules say you can only take each feat once. So, I will take the Empower Spell feat. Is it possible to use this to boost a healing 10 points too? | | | |

| Richard II and I met tonight.
It was one of the closest games I've ever had on Vassal.
Winning Warlord: tullywi (CG) Mystique's warband: Units: Mystique the Bladesinger, Half-Giant Psychic Warrior, Graycloak with Wolf, Lidda. Tiles: Assembly Tile Rubble, Spike Stone Cave, Ancient Temple, Shrine Experience gained: 500 Leveling: Mystique died and only gained 500 points. Lieutenant XP: NA Lieutenant leveling options (if any): NA Magic item gained: Collar of Spell Resistance Magic item lost (if any): Trade in +1 Shield of Displacement (Conceal 6)
Losing warlord: Richard II Losing warlord's warband: Units: Grim Necromancer, Thayan Knight, Skullcrusher Ogre, and Zombie with support troups of a Skeletal Dwarf and a Zombie. Tiles: Assembly Tile Rubble, Torture Chamber, Treasure Room, and Shrine. Experience gained: 250 Warlord's leveling options (if any): n/a Magic item gained: +1 Armor of Resistance (Save +2) Magic item lost (if any): Used 2 Fireballs from Potion of Fireball. Traded in +1 Shield.
I've sent the log file to Galneweinhaw.
The dice bot didn't either of us too much until the end. I missed several attacks with very high bonuses. That could have changed the game. As it was, the game changed a little when I was able to hustle my half-giant over to the the Grim Necromancer and kill him (I rolled a 2 with my +3 from the commander it barely hit). The next round, Richard killed my Bladesinger. I then got 2 crits back to back on his Thayan from my Graycloak. His morale check was another 20. My Half-giant ended up killing his Ogre and his Thayan took out my Graycloak. The game ended when his Thayan charged my Half-Giant and hit leaving me with 5 hit points. I then attacked with my Half-Giant and killed the Thayan.

| I just wanted to post that JJbeezer and I played today and I won by a half or maybe a quarter of a hair. I am sending the log to Galnew right now and I highly recommend you all check it out if you have time.. as far as I'm concerned it was one of the more exciting games I've played so far :) (LG vs LG no less.. who knew they could be interesting??). I will update this with the match details tomorrow.. gotta get some shut-eye!
Tkort/Jesster
Update: game details
1. Winning warlord's warband: Tkort's band: Bertha: Dwarf Sergeant, dwarf artificer, dragon samurai, Fallguy:dwarf samurai, Bazagen: Hill Dwarf Warrior, Man-at-arms Assembly tile 2 (statue), Ancient Temple, Blood rock cave, Statue Room 2. experience gained: 1500 3. warlord's leveling options (if any): Bertha gains level 5, +10 hp, +1 hit, and warlord bonus feat: Improved Initiative 4. Lieutenant XP, and who it is going to: 500XP to Fallguy, the Dwarf Samurai 5. Lieutenant leveling options (if any): not yet :) 6. Magic item gained: Ring of One Godly Blow 7. Magic item lost (if any): traded in Major Heightened Scroll 8. Losing warlord's warband: JJBeezer's band: Nevan – cleric of st. cuthbert, Aramil – Adventurer, Gold Dragon, Jengal – Halfling Vet, Clank – Warforged Fighter, Grog and Glug – Hill Dwarf Warriors, Sam – Man at Arms, Rubble Assembly, Abattoir, Statue Room, Blood Rock Cave 9. experience gained: 250 for Nevan 10. warlord's leveling options (if any): oh so close! 11. Magic item gained: potion of Fortune Prevailing 12. Magic item lost (if any): none 13. Battle Report (An optional brief summary of the match): I don't think I can do this great match justice here: I really recommend if you are at all interested in watching logs that you watch this one. I got lucky and picked the same guy as JJ did for his marked mini: Clank.. that is what won me the game in the end. He picked Bertha, I picked my Dwarf Artificer. I have never rolled so many 20's in one game before, oddly, only 2 were on attacks, the first a non-event on a hill dwarf warrior with 5 hps left, and the last time on clank with Bertha to win the game. It was down to my high AC (many many thanks to peekaboo the dwarf artificer) vs his Adamantine laced body.. a hard fought victory that easily could have gone either way. Many thanks to JJBeezer for 3 exciting games now (we had joked about this one being the tie breaker, I couldn't have asked for a better way to finish it: I'm sure he could have :)) I think we'll have to make it best 3 of 5 :).

Tiles: Assembly Tile Rubble, Torture Chamber, Treasure Room, and Burial Chamber. Experience gained: 250 Warlord's leveling options (if any): NA Magic item gained: Scroll of Silent and Still Magic item lost (if any): Traded in Potion of Acid Resistance
Log file submitted. Zippy Marked For Death: Krawd & Axe Sister Lurch_E_Bean Marked for Death: Hell Hound & Axe Sister
As the two warbands closed, Axe Sister bolted out in front, followed closely by Alric, and closed with the Hell Hound. Her attack narrowly missed. The hound returned with a stinging bite. Krawd's pack of goons then swarmed the Axe Sister, trying to bring her down before she whirled into a frenzy. Despite several blows, the Axe Sister survived and struck down the puny goblin, absolutely cut the hobgoblin in twain, and routed the badly wounded Hell Hound (back to the fire pits it ran). Krawd remained unscathed but abandoned. Alric moved in to flank Krawd, pinning him between hitters.
With Alric and the Axe Sister surrounding him, Krawd's armor absorbed most of the blows. The Axe Sister stayed to the bitter end, and was at long last laid low by Krawd's third strike home.
Alric and Krawd then exited the field of battle (after a bit of sparring for practice) to foment future plans. | | There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't. Reference Thread, H/W List, Champion of the Catoblepas

Forgot to start logfile. Interesting match, I have some rules questions on the Beholder now that I will post elsewhere. I thought I had the perfect counter to the Beholder & Gauth with the Burning Skeletons, they did prove useful, but it didn't work out. Of course the Fomorian being turned to stone when barely scratched was bad. Stupid Save = 10!
