NOTE: There are 16 warlords, but only match listings for 14. The two missing warlords are:

Zippy (LG), Thea.
Lurch_E_Bean (LE), Urthok the Destroyer.

Also, the match with Krawd (Zippy/LE) v. Unger (jjbeezer) should be listed as 100 pt (Krawd = lvl +2) and 20 pt support troops (10% per level difference, Unger is lvl 0) for Unger.

Thanks!

Ok, I have corrected my matchup errors. Everyone is matched up against a Warlord they have not faced over the past 3 weeks.

Stats have been updated through Week 15. Please check for any errors.

Mhir and AngryIrish - According to campaing rules you must decide if a weapon gained is a melee or ranged weapon. You both picked up a new one last week. Please let me know what kind it was during the writeup for you match this week.

I will work on getting the log files for Week 14 and 15 linked this week.

Just to make sure, it's the Player 1's that get the support troops right?

No, I did not get so advanced as to place the lower level warlord as Player 1. Please make sure you check the levels of the warlords. The lower level warlord gets the support troops.

jjbeezer, thanks for all the work!

1) What leveling is Unger taking? He's +1 lvl now.
2) Zippy/LE (Krawd a.k.a. Urthok) should have +1CMD in his lveling options list (+2 Level, +20 HP, +2 ATT, +1 CMD), this could be assumed though at level +2.
3) Zippy/LG vs Lurch_E_Bean/CG should have NIL=Support Troops (both are level +1 now). Match Points for level +1 should also be adjusted to 75 rather than 100.

Thanks for the catches, Zippy.

Unger is taking a spell progression (noted above)
Added Krawd's +1 CR
Fixed level matchup for Zippy (LG) and lurch_E_bean (CG)

Changed Mhir's weapon to a Melee weapon

I realized I never specified my minor magic weapon for Urthok, either. Being LE, I think it's safe to say I'm going with a melee weapon.

Mhir and oldcoast, when can you play? I can play tonight (Monday), tomorrow (Tuesday) or Friday after 7:30pm Pacific. Wednesday and Thursday I should be able to play after 6pm Pacific. On all weeknights I can play until around midnight Pacific. Weekends are up in the air, and I'd prefer to play sometime during the week.

Mhir, I know it's difficult for you to schedule with your time zone. Please respond as soon as possible. Also, if you win (again) this time you're going to do the battle report per the rules! :P

Oh, they are trying to hurt you. Trust me. I think the fleeing part refers to if they are turned by a Turn Undead.

Updated the melee weapon of lurch_E_bean (LE) and AngryIrish.

Takasi, let me know what spell you want to take with the Spell Mastery Feat.

As a note from the Campaign Rules: Each Warlord Bonus Feat may only be taken once by a warlord in his career. (There goes my high beastmaster Orc Druid idea!)

The fleeing undead reference is indeed related to turn undead attempts. In this case they cannot rally so each turn someone can activate that zombie and move it toward the nearest exit.

So, Lurch and I met up last night and it was a LE slugfest. Strangely enough, neither of us brought Gauth or our Thayan Knight lieutenants.

1. Winning warlord's warband experience gained: Brother Grim the Necromancer, Death Knight, Azer Raider x2. Support: Duergar Warrior x3. 1000 exp to Brother Grim putting him at 3500 and level 3, and 500 to Fluffy the Duergar Warrior.

2. Warlord's leveling options (if any): Brother Grim will take another level of spell casting progression and gain +1 level, +5 hp, and a another casting of Summon Undead III I think. Although a fireball should would be tempting.

3. Lieutenant XP, and who it is going to: Fluffy the Duergar Warrior.

4. Lieutenant leveling options (if any): n/a

5. Magic item gained: Scroll of Silent and Still

6. Magic item lost (if any): None.

7. Losing warlord's warband: Urthok, Snig+minions, Bearded Devil, Salamander, Blue

8. experience gained: 250 for urthok.

9. warlord's leveling options (if any): +1 level, +10 hp, +1 attack, +1 Commander rating.

10. Magic item gained: +1 shield

11. Magic item lost (if any): None.

12. Battle Report (An optional brief summary of the match): Basically, the dice screwed Lurch over. I managed to get an abyssal blast off that nuked snig and urthok and killed off his skirmishers and blue early on by moving somewhere where I couldn't see the salamander and bearded devil. We then fought it out on his hall of heroes tile and the salamander rolled back to back 2's on morale checks to rout off the board. Urthok died swiftly to a minotaur skeleton, deathknight, and a melf's acid arrow.

Just a quick question that came up last night. When determining targets for spells, special abilities, ranged attacks, etc., do you have to target the zombies if they're closer?

I checked the Aberrations glossary and it defines an enemy creature as a creature in an opponent's warband, yet these zombies are technically not in either warband. However, since abilities, spells, etc. can only target the nearest enemy or ally, you could rule that you can't target the zombies at all, and things get a little strange.

I just want a little clarification, as it may effect my CG warband choice tonight.

My thought would be they are an enemy unless you are controlling them that activation. This would make them the nearest target.

I always thought that you could either target the nearest ally, nearest enemy OR nearest zombie. Even though they are trying to hurt you , the other band is trying to hurt you more, and i think that your guys would try to hit the other band before the zombies, but if they can't then they can hit the zombies. I think thats the way it was played in a campaign i played awhile ago.

I've seen it played once where the zombies didn't count as the nearest enemy. When the scenerio was introduced, it was specifically laid out that way. Otherwise, they have counted as the nearest enemy. It offers a very interesting change in tactics. If they don't count as the nearest enemy, why bother using them? They are too slow and don't hit for enough damage to cause problems otherwise.

1. Winning warlord's warband: Alric the Glorious Inspiring Marshal, Treant
2. Warlord experience gained: 500 XP (Alric didn't make it)
3. Warlord's leveling options (if any): Regular warlord level.
4. Lieutenant XP, and who it is going to: my treant is too expensive :(
5. Lieutenant leveling options (if any): n/a
6. Magic item gained: Potion of Flying
7. Magic item lost (if any): None.

8. Losing warlord's warband: Sword of Heironeous, Formian Warrior, Warforged Wizard, Hill Dwarf x2, Man-at-Arms
9. Experience gained: 250
10. warlord's leveling options (if any): n/a
11. Magic item gained: +1 armor
12. Magic item lost (if any): None.

13. Battle Report (An optional brief summary of the match): Well, the dice weren't my friend again tonight, but they weren't Zippy's friend either. The treant came out the gate and trampled everything in sight, mostly zombies. Zippy's Warforged thunder bolted my Treant twice in a row, taking advantage of his activation edge and higher init bonus, with one failed save. His formian snuck by my Treant to the IM and the warforged hid behind the Sword and wall of Dwarves. The Treant got a GMA from the Marshal, and walked up to the wall of Dwarves, swinging over them (since with DR 5 and immune criticals, they couldn't hurt it at all) trying to route the warforged, but missed. Zippy kept missing with the Sword and Formian's poison attack, while the warforged wizard peppered the Treant with sonic orbs. I tried trampling the Sword to get to the retreating Warforged, but the Sword's AoO routed the mammoth tree. He then rallied the next round as the fight came back to the IM. IM made a MC and some poison saves, and the treant laid waste again. The Sword went down to the Treant (who went down to 10 HP) and the Treant came to bail out the IM. The IM missed the Formian A LOT. The Treant finally got the Formian and routed the Warforged Wizard. With 10 HP and only a Man-at-Arms and Hill Dwarf to activate, I was hopeful the IM would survive. Not so, a Man-at-Arms crit ended Alric. He and the Dwarf surrendered to the impervious tree, but in its rage it trampled them both with its massive roots.

Moral of the story: Trample is fun!

Friday after 7:30 pm Pacific will work for me. What time is that in Italy? I'll send you an email also.

Here are the results from my match with old coast:

Winning Warlord: Takasi (Valyssa d' Brilliance)
Winning Warband: Units: Inspiring Marshal, Axe Sister; Tile: Assembly Tile (Rubble), Ancient Temple, Broken Fountain, Broken Wall
Warlord XP Gained: 1000 XP
Warlord Leveling Options: Standard, +10 HP +1 Attack
Lt XP: 500 to Vena, Axe Sister
Magic Item Gained: Traded in Shield of Quick Striking for Gloves of Etherealness
Magic Item Lost: Shield of Quick Striking

Losing Warlord: Old Coast (Odge the Orc Sergeant)
Losing Warband: Units: Orc Serg, Deathlock, 2 Orc Savages; Tiles: Assembly Tile (Rubble), Abbatoir, Broken Wall, Torture Chamber
Warlord XP Gained: 250
Magic Item Gained: +1 Armour

Summary: Need to upload log file when I get home. Orc Savages rushed the zombies to try to grab those extra 20 hps. First one got em; second one fumbled and ended up dead. Most of the zombies were on the orc side, so the deathlock moved to the outer edge in case I placed within its los. First two moves were IM & Axe moving then with a GMA I based the Deathlock. On the second round I used the zombies when I should have hit the deathlock first. On the deathlock's activation it took an AoO, was hit and went down to 5 hp but was able to do a cause fear on the axe sister (who was OoC). The axe ran away but on its turn it successfully rallied. The orc savage placed itself near the center of the board and attacked a zombie. On the next round the axe based the orc and the IM stayed behind. This time the deathlock's fear spell failed to scare the axe, and the orc serg set himself up for a charge. On the next round the serg won init but fumbled on its charge on the axe! The axe did a whirlwind, hitting both the serg (who saved his mc) and the orc (now down to 5 hp). A zombie then charged the orc savage, barely managing to destroy it. The IM made a crit on the serg, eliminating him from the battlefield. Finally, the deathlock cast mm on the axe, forcing her to do an mc (which she failed). On the next round, the IM decided to base the deathlock rather than rally the axe. On the following round, the final blow went to a zombie, who managed to charge the deathlock, ending the game

All in all, 3 out of 4 of Odge's band were killed by the zombies. Only in a 50 points game...

It was a great match, exactly what I was looking for in a 50 point game. This was old coast's third 50 pointer, whereas I have NEVER had a chance to play one in the last 15 weeks I've been in this campaign (I missed the first week). Low point games come down to dice, and in this case Old Coast had some horrible, horrible rolls.

Zippy and I met in a lag filled game.

1. Unger, Bulette, Lulu the Orc Savage, and Orc Warrior*3 with Support troops of Timber Wolf*2. Gained 1000 XP
2. Unger (2250 XP) moves to SP level 2, +5 HP, +1 CR, + [] Bear's Endurance
3. Lulu the Orc Savage picks up 500 XP
4. No level available
5. Gained Maj. Ring of One Mighty Blow (Smite +20)
6. Traded in +1 Armor of Fortune Prevailing

7. Krawd, Salamander, Ignavus the Green Dragon, Hobgoblin Warrior, and Goblin Skirmisher
8. 250 XP gained
9. No level available
10. Gained Med. Ring of Archery
11. Potion of Quick Strike

12. Zippy guessed Bulette, but he had to plan for a fire breather. This caused him to change is band up slightly. I won terrain init (my only init win of the night). I was able to set up a clear path for a double move from the bulette on the first turn (after the charm animal). I moved a zombie next to my Savage for the easy extra HPs. Everyone moved to the center of the board with my troops spread out to avoid too much pain from the dragon who was hiding in the Torture chamber just above Bulette.

Round 2 and Krawd wins init. Here comes the dragon! No... Two zombies move. Bulette then burrows into the torture chamber and leaps on the dragon. The dragon cannot see or hear Urthok, and after a very poor roll, he routs off the board. The Salamander bases the Bulette, and Urthok moves close to the beast. The orc horde and the wolves clear out three zombies.

Krawd wins init, the Salamander Crits and then hits again on the Bulette. Krawd moves up and hits, poisoning the monster. The Bulette hits Krawd with both attacks. A third attack, thanks to the Druid, hits forcing a morale check. Pass. A wolf makes a lucky hit on Krawd, stunning him.

A stunned Krawd takes init. After the unstun, the salamander hits, and the Bulette passes the MC. Then the lizard hits again! Bulette his Krawd with the first attack. The druid orders the Savage and one orc warrior to swing and then move out of the way so he can get off a Snakes Swiftness on the Bulette. Sally hits both orcs. The Snakes Swiftness costs Krawd his life.

Next round a dead Krawd wins init. The Salamander finally misses the bulette (who had 20 hp left, hit + Poison = dead). Bulette hits with both attacks, and then the Savage critically hits. The Salamander runs and Unger wins.

Zippy made the one mistake at the start of round 2, and it cost him his dragon. I would guess he was waiting for me to bunch up some more before he came out to breath. The poison from Krawd almost was my undoing, but the salamander finally missed the bulette.

Good game to Zippy!

AngryIrish and I met. It was a good game and the first time I've played against the Beholder.

Winning Warlord: Mystique the Bladesinger- tullywi (CG)
Mystique's warband: Units: Mystique the Bladesinger, Half-giant psychic warrior, Medium Astral Construct, Bariaur Ranger, and a Halfling Ranger. Tiles: Assembly Tile Rubble, Spike Stone Cave, Hall of Heroes, and Shrine.
Experience gained: 1500
Leveling: Mystique lived and gained 1000 experience for a total of 5500. She gains a level, 5 hit points, +1 command rating, 6th spell progression level, and will take a casting of Protection from Evil.
Lieutenant XP: 500 experience will go to my Halfing Ranger named Cord.
Lieutenant leveling options (if any): NA
Magic item gained: Shield of Archery (Ranged Attack +2 with a bow - not a crossbow). Can I get a clarification on this? How does it work when I don't know of any units with shields that have a bow?
Magic item lost (if any): NA

Losing warlord: AngryIrish
Losing warlord's warband: Units: Kane the Grim Necromancer, Beholder, Zombie, Goblin Skirmisher, and gravehound for support. Tiles: Assembly tile 6, Intersection, Rubble Room, and Aftermath.
Experience gained: 250
Warlord's leveling options (if any): n/a
Magic item gained: Quickened Scroll
Magic item lost (if any): NA

I was worried about this matchup. A beholder with lots of fearless fodder in front of it. My fears became reality when the beholder rolled a 19 and took out my Medium Astral Construct. Lucky for me, I was able to take out a bunch of his fodder with my fireball and the Halfling Ranger. After that, the halfing failed a negative damage save and made a Flesh to Stone save. The tides really turned when the half-giant made his acid enhanced attack and the beholder routed on the Bladesinger's attack.

I've uploaded the log file. Good playing Angry.

Wow, tullywi, I thought that Zippy's Ring of Archery was bad. A shield of archery is even worse. I only know of one unit with a bow and a shield. Luckily it is CG: Lidda, Adventurer. She has a buckler shield on one arm.
