AngryIrish(CG) versus Tullywi (CG2)

Winning Player: AngryIrish
Vad's Warband: Vadania, Longstrider Ranger x2 (one with potion of life), wild elf raider, elf warrior
Experience Gained: 1000
Leveling: Vad gains +1 Spell Progression(+1Lvl, +5HP and +[] of bear's endurance)
Lieutenant XP: 500 to Zippo the Longstrider
Lieutenant leveling options (if any): N/A
Magic item gained: +1 shield of fortune striking and minor sonic resist
Magic item lost (if any): major heightened scroll, and used potion of false life and immune poison

Losing Player: Tullywi
Konn's Warband: Konn(+1armor), Thorn, Half-Orc Barb x2, Medium astral construct, elf warrior, xeph warrior x2. Support astral construct
Experience gained: 250
Warlord's leveling options (if any): N/A
Magic item gained: +1 armor of protection
Magic item lost (if any): minor scroll of silent still

Well, coming with two difficult barbarians didn't help tully much. massive melee at the top right of the board. longstriders ran out to get position and a few assault points, which really didn't matter. longstrider(who had drank the potion) ran in to hit the thorn, and was met with a crit from a barbarian, and a couple more hits to make it morale check. It passed and routed one of the barbs off the board. the other longstrider ran over to base the cleric and hit it for 10. the cleric then went to finish off the strider, taking 10 on the aoo, but missed by 1. tully won init next round however, and took out the strider. but the deathstrike hit and took the cleric to a MC and 20 hps. tully made the check with an exact 20. strider ran around and hit the cleric takin it to 10. I wanted to move vad up for a snakes swift, but tully's damn construct was in the way. next round, the strider had to mc, but again, made the check. he then took out the cleric, popping the constructs and routed the barb. then a snakes swift on the thorn sealed the deal.

good match, and i think that dice bot was at "that time of the month"

Yes, AngryIrish, good playing to you too. I checked the rolls. You had 26 attacks and hit 19 times (most of your attacks were at +13 and my AC was 14 to 19). I had 28 attacks and hit on 14 of them (most of my attacks were +6 to +13 against your AC of 16 to 18). Granted, most of my guys were fodder, but they didn't do anything for me.

The one attack that hurt me was my Cleric of Kord missing the kill on your Longstrider, because it was an extra 20 damage I didn't do to your remaining Strider (who ended up with 20 hit points left I believe).

I didn't expect to make ANY morale saves, but I think my rolls were 1, 2, 4, and 14. The 14 was for my cleric - PHEW. I think your morale save rolls were 16 and 18 with +11 for the saves. If you would have failed either of them, it would have been very close.

Last thing, you don't think it was an accident that my construct was sitting there do you? He was meant to be a blocker and he performed that function perfectly. If I remember correctly, he poofed with 5 hit points left too.

Lieutenant XP:
Lieutenant leveling: none
Magic Item Gained: +1 Armor of Big stepping

It was a pretty intense battle. We met in the middle when the Warforged Hero charged the Minotaur Skeleton hitting for 15. Next round the Hero prevoked twice from the Minotaur and an Orc warrior. He walked back and got Sheild of faith casted on him by the SoH, putting his AC to 25 with her Commander effect. The Minotaur skeleton charged and missed the warforged hero. The Feral minotaur came around the SoH and next round charged and killed her with his mighty pounce!. By this time the Minotaur skeleton was dead, and it turned into a duking fest between the Warforged hero, Feral Mino and an orc Warrior that hit him!. Anyways, the Warforged Hero beat up the Feral Mino and Orc warrior, leaveing him with 20 hp. Monk was sitting away the whole battle gathering tile points like Madox's hyena. He conceded after Madox tried to own the Sun soul but instead got stunned.

Magic Item Lost: (Med) Cloak of Striding

Losing Warband: Buruja / Kyuketsuki (CE)
Buruja's Warband: Buruja,(enlarged scroll, potion of fortune prevailing, +1 armour of minor electricity resistance) aspect of lolth(+1 keen), red samurai (+1dancing weapon) cursed spirit) ring gates), Butcher the orc berserker (dhirt of inmune cold)
Warlord XP: +250 XP & +250 CP
Warlord Leveling: none
Magic Item Gained: Potion of DR5 [][]
Magic Item Lost: none

Summary:

Buruja's ghost started by installing the ring gates, with the entrance sequestered far back to keep Buruja safe. Thea's team moved up under cover, staying close to the Couatl. As the Giant lurch forward, Buruja popped through the gate and enfeebled him. Thea buffed her team and summoned twin azers.

Collis went north to foil the orc warrior grabbing tile points, while one azer went south to grab tile points of his own. The red samurai moved in and after a round or two of taking a beating, he bolted off the map before loosing his flame breath. Illuc and one azer destroyed the Orc Berzerker. Lolth scurried up to swat at the couatl, dealing a critical hit. The snake held its ground. With the spirit moving in, the couatl decided to retreat and took several blows for it.

The tricky Lolth darted around to again try to take down the couatl, but healing spells and some luck allowed him to escape and keep his shield of spell nerfing intact. Meanwhile, Buruja caught Illuc and an azer out of the couatl's range and snowballed them.

Finally the giant locked horns close range with lolth. With Collis providing flanking and the swift greatclub in hand, the giant was able to do considerable damage (despite eating another crit from lolth) and take down the spider queen.

Buruja, facing Thea, couatl, stone giant, Collis, and an azer decided to surrender.

Kyuketsuki's efforts to take out the couatl were right on. However, it was hard to captitalize on this with a number of healers floating around on Thea's team. Good game, Kyuketsuki and happy 21st (few days ago)!

Magic Item Gained: Cloak of archery +2
Magic Item Lost: +1 armor

Summary: Dice were a little on the low side in this game. I set up on the left side of the map and he set up on the right. He won int and went first moving pieces up. I managed to hit his feral minotaur with 2 skirmishers, and a produce flame. I won int next round and finished off his minotaur with a chraal before he could attack. I scorched his champ and thats all that really happen ed in round 2. Next round I scorched him again and moved out of sight. He couldnt kill off a pesky azer with his commander so he killed it with the champ and stayed put. I moved another azer to base him and chraal 2 squares away into a cone postion. I won int and my azers attack missed. I then coned his savage a 5 hp, his champ that ended up making him mc and his commander that also saved. I sacrificed my own azer and 2 skirmishers. He move his champ and commander and both hit my chraal. I moved the efreet out of hiding and hit his commander that forced a route. He failed and landed 2 squares away from an exit while the chraal hit him on the way out. He won next int and made my chraal rout and landed a crit on my efreet which made its save. His commander also saved on its mc. I killed the champ with efreet and talla used a cause fear on a out of command footpad causeing it to run 1 square from the exit. I moved my cleric behind a wall. Next round his footpad saved and I used my efreet to produce his commander. I used talla swift flight to move within four of his commander at 5 hp. I won int and killed it with a inflict and won the game at end of the round via tile points.

Good game oldcoast. Too bad the dice wasnt normal then it would have been a much closer game.

oh and tullywi both me and oldcoast forgot to make a log so I copied and pasted it into a log I started up. Sorry about that...

AngryIrish (LE) vs Tullywi (LG)

Winning Warlord: tullywi (LG)
Warband: Garret Hilltop Cleric of Yondalla, 2x Skullclan Hunter, Medium Earth Elemental, 2x Hill Dwarf Warrior, 3x Protector, Aramil, and Lidda Adventurer
Experience gained: +500XP, +750 Campaign Pts.
Leveling: NA
Lieutenant XP: Lidda will gain 250 XP
Lieutenant leveling:NA
Magic item gained: (Med).Circlet of Striding (Speed +2)
Magic item lost: NA

Defeated Warlord: AngryIrish (LE)
Warband: - Kane the Grim Necromancer, Beholder, 2 Zombies, Direguard.
Experience Gained: 250 XP & 250 Campaign Pts.
Leveling options: NA
Magic item gained: (Min).+1 Armor
Magic item lost: (Min).Lessor Empowered Scroll

This game was unbelievable to me. I won 3 of 9 inits. The first one was terrain and AngryIrish went first. He had a truely awesome setup where he started on the A side and split up his warband. Beholder went to the top and the rest of is band to the bottom. After that, I didn't win an init until the last 2 rounds.

AngryIrish hit me on 5 of 24 attacks. Yes, only 5 hits. He rolled 2 natural 20s and a 19 on the Blood Rock to kill my Cleric at the very end of the game after his Beholder was running.

The Beholder had 9 rolls - a 5, 7, 12 and two 16s were used to Inflict Negative damage on me. He rolled a 17 for Flesh to Stone, but I made the save. He rolled two 19s and one 20. I made the save on one of those and he autokilled with the other two.

AngryIrish had 3 morale saves and rolled 11 (with the Beholder who failed), a 14, and a 17 (due to turn undead). Over all AngryIrish had 45 rolls - 19 of them 10 or under (three 1s) and 26 of them 11 or over (three 19s and three 20s).

I had 27 attacks and hit on 18 of those. Of the 18, 11 hits came on rolls between 4 and 9. Of the 18 hits, 4 (of 11 checks) of them failed due to conceal. I failed 1 of 3 morale checks, and 6 of 11 save attempts versus anti-magic and beholder rays. Over all, I had 62 rolls and 21 of them were over 11. Yes, 41 of 62 rolls were 10 or under. To give you an idea of how frustrating this was, my speedy Skullclan attacks the Beholder at +16 and rolls a 6 which does hit for 20 damage. The Beholder rolls a 20 and does disintegrate on the Skullclan. The Skullclan rolls a 20 and takes 30 damage which causes a morale save. Under command, the Skullclan attempts the morale save at +14 and rolls a 3. Because of his boots, he runs 15 squares and off the board. I was able to route the Beholder with 3 attacks from my other Skullclan and the beholder fails morale. This is pretty much the end of game because the beholder can't rally. We play on because it is more fun that way. I quickly reduce AngryIrish to only the Direguard. The Direguard goes incorp, moves 2 squares and attacks my Cleric who's AC is 24 and is at 15 hitpoints. Angry rolls a 19 on the Blood Rock and kills my cleric.

AngryIrish's plan was really good. By splitting up his forces, he caused me to move up the middle. Then, he was able to bring the beholder and pinch me there. The only thing that saved me was my magic items. One Skullclan Hunter had Boots of Speed. I was able to fly him over and base the Necromancer. I had enough Hill Dwarves and Protectors to keep the Beholder busy. Then, it was a matter of chasing down the Necromancer.

The log file is uploaded. Good playing AngryIrish.

AesophDarkfable,

I can't remember what time our match is scheduled for tonight; but something has come up and I need to play at 8:00 or 8:30PM EST. If I had originally said 7, I can't remember if we said 7 your time or mine. Let me know if this is a problem. Thanks.

Excellent point! Now that you say that, I think the roll was either a 7 or 4 and the save was +11. It definitely failed though.

Warlord XP: +250 xp
Warlord Leveling: NA
Magic Item Gained: Pot of Charging

Summary:

He won init and set up in the upper left then I countered with the lower right. I slowly moved forward and summoned the Minotaur Skeleton and a Warrior Skeleton. He moved all his units farther up and the Hill Dwarf into tile pt position on for Round 3. My warrior skeleton moved 11 and got tile in the lower left 4x4 box and sat there the rest of the game. I hit a merc with an Acid Arrow from Apophis, he ran. Then he moved the Axe fighter up and I hit him with a sorching ray, he was ooc but saved his morale, next the mino walked up and hit it for 15 killing the dwarf. Next round, he wins init..agian (I have lost every init) and hits the skeleton with a Spiritual Weapon and the Dwarf Serget and the Sword (who had taken a crit from the Minotaur last round and was down to 25 hp) moved and attacked but missed, with the dwarf connecting. With the sword at 15 and the sergent at full the Efreet used his last Sorching Ray to kill the sword. The merc was ooc and couldnt rally so it ran off the board. Next round, he wins init..STILL. And moved his Dwarf Sergent away from the Mino skelly (for what reason I dont know) and i rolled a crit for 30 dmg AGIAN and he ran. Then the HDW couldnt make it to tile pts..and that was game.

AesophD vs Rgrayua

Victor: Thom Waits (AesD)
Warband: Warchanter (+1 armor of ethrealness), Rask (+1 armor of quickstriking []), Elf Pyromancer, Celetial Pegasus (bottle of eversmoking), xeph warrior
XP: 1000 xp to Thom
leveling: none
Lt Xp: 500 XP to Perry Farrel the Pyromancer
Lt Lvl: none
Item gained: +1 weapon of ghost touch (med)
item lost: none

Victim: Noname the Hobgoblin (urthok)
Warband: Urthok the Vicious (XP3250, +3LVL, +30HP, +3ATT, +1CR); (Maj.) +1 Axiomatic Melee Weapon (+10 Dmg vs. Chaotic); +1 Armour of the Shadow (Hide) Efreeti Green Dragon Bugbear Footpad x2 Hobgoblin Warrior x4 Support-Goblin Adept; Bugbear
XP: 250
Lvl: none
Lt xp: none
lt lvl: none
Item gained: +1 shield (min)
item lost: none

Thom was thinking hed be facing the ice beasts today so he brought his friend Perry Farrell the Pyro. The ice beasts didnt show but it still payed off. Noname took the field first allowing Perry to get a perfect set up fireball to take out 4 hobgoblins and route a bugbear and a goblin adept, while wounding the two footpads (one more serious than the other), the dragon, and Noname. The efreet took out a xeph that was getting ready for a tile point run. The green dragon made a flight for tile points and got a few, but was taken out the next turn, routed nearly to the exit. The next turn rask using a swing and a quickstrike took care of a footpad while the pegasus and a summoned azer tied up another. The pyro buffed Rask against fire and Rask went to work on the efreet (weakned from Thoms ray). The efreet managed to rally his courage even without his commanders orders and then Noname ran in and went to town Rask with his lawful powered weapon. Rask routed, but came back the next round. Thom got brave and took a swing at the efreet trying to take his last 5 hp out, but missed. Luckily the efreet only hit him once the next round fumbling one of his swings. A log more misses on the efreet before the pegasus finished him off. The pegasus though he really wanted to be promoted to Lt. status knew that he must protect his warlord, so he flew up and blocked Noname from getting to Thom, this was his demise of course. But victory was had with the last 8 tile points coming in.

Rgrayua recovered slightly towards the end, but was just never really in it. the first round fireball crippled him adn getting brave for tile points hurt his dragon. Rolls were pretty even, he had a couple bad 1s but I had several bad misses. That pegasus is a mean lil mofo for 32 pts

A friendly reminder here for everyone to look at the rules for picking a Lt. A Lt must have an intellegence of 8 in order to qualify. If you are thinking of making a construct or an undead become a Lt., please make sure it has an intellegence of 8 listed on the RPG side of the stat card.

Takasi (LG) vs Tullywi (CG)

Winning Warlord: tullywi (LG)
Warband: Mystique the Bladesinger, 2x Archmage, 2x Medium Astral Constructs Support: Medium Astral Construct, 5 Xeph Warriors
Experience gained: +1000XP, +1500 Campaign Pts.
Leveling: Mystique is now level 8
Lieutenant XP: NA
Lieutenant leveling:NA
Magic item gained: Need To Roll
Magic item lost: NA

Defeated Warlord: Takasi (LG)

Experience Gained: 250 XP & 250 Campaign Pts.
Leveling options: NA
Magic item gained: (Maj).+1 Armor of ???
Magic item lost: (Med).Scroll of Heighten
(Min).Scroll of Heigthen

I feel sort of bad about this one. I really wanted to play Drizz't and Ulmo, but was worried that Takasi would bring a Warforged Titan. So, I decided to bring the Archmages and if the Warforged Titan didn't show, I'd offer to play the other warband. Takasi said he would attempt the Archmages.

We played for 3 rounds. We had several interruptions with my cable service being a little flaky. My Archmages were pretty brutal against the fog. They have Blindsight and can cut right through it. They were really starting to assert themselves when Takasi threw in the towel. He had some other things going on (I'd say real life, but these were because he is DMing) that were distracting him too.

My cable finally dropped for a couple of hours just as Takasi was rolling for his Major Items power.

Elvira and Unger met in the Drow cavern...

1. Unger, Hezrou, Vrock, Vina, Lulu, Abyssal Skulker, Kenku Sneak, 3*Timberwolf, Hyena, and Orc Warrior.
2. Unger gains 1000 XP moving to 10250 (no level)
3. Vina, Drow Rogue gains 500 XP moving to 1500
4. No level
5. Mask of Quickstrike
6. None

7. Elvira, Frost Giant, Orc Champ, Bane - Bugbear Footpad, Timber Wolf, 2*Gnoll Skeleton, 4*Abyssal Maw
8. 250 gained
9. no level, 12250 total XP
10. Boots of Charisma
11. Traded in minor from match and Collar of Command

12. Elvira tried to hide her troops, but the wiley Unger moved quickly through a wall to place an ice storm into Elvira's ranks. The wolf and two maws died, the giant took the full force, and Bane and two maws ducked to avoid most of the storm. As the round progressed, the fast moving wolves and hyena moved to draw spells.

Eventually major combat ensued near the Southwestern A victory location. A wolf stun took the Orc Champ out momentarily. The Frost giant hit some and missed some on the Vrock. Unger's Bear's Endurace saved the Vrock from an early demise. The Vrock could not be stopped, even after being hit by the Vampiric weapon. Two criticals, no misses, and 3 snake's swiftness spells crushed the giant and orc champ (who missed twice on his only full attack on the Vrock).

Elvira sensed the despiration and quickened diminsion door for a fireball into Unger's back ranks. This got her a sneak attack from the Drow Rogue. Next round she quickened her invisible spell and ran from the bad situation.

A brave wolf found a path to the NW victory A area and captured 48 points for Unger. The rolls in the melee combat went strongly my way, and the Hezrou's commander effect boosted the Vrock's hitting chances well. Oh, don't forget the brave Orc Warrior with the magic missle armor. He killed a maw and hit the giant before being blown up by the fireball.

Good game to rgrayua! A few melee attack rolls different would have changed the whole story. That means this was a good game. Thanks.

Well, it's 12:30, about two and a half hours after we were scheduled to play, and still no takasi.
