| Adept's Tiefling has gone through the 12 step program and is born again as LG.
And Richard is complaining about 35 support points, try 75!
I'm available most evenings, but not Friday.
TKort & Galneweinhaw: My non-pool game should be Zippy(LG) instead of (LE). That means it's a 225 pt match and Thea gets 23 spt pts.
Also, Galn vs. 'Boson should be 13 spt pts instead of 12? | | There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't. Reference Thread, H/W List, Champion of the Catoblepas

| REPORT: Veliq(LG) vs. Aesoph Darkfable(CE)
Winning Warlord: Santee the Village Priest Santee's Warband: 3x Caravan Guards, 2x Dalelands Militia Warlord XP: +1000 XP / +1500 CP total (1000 XP / 1500 CP) Warlord Leveling: +1 Level = Level 1, +5 hps +1 SPL(3) [Remove Fear] Lieutenant: Steve Hawkins the Dalelands Militia sharpshooter +500 XP (500 XP) Lieutenant Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (Med) +1 Armor / Immune Poison Magic Item Lost: none
Losing Warlord: Fadecourt Scorpion Clan Drow Warrior Fadecourt's Warband: Bugbear Footpad Warlord XP: +250 XP / +250 CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (min) +1 Weapon, Ranged Magic Item Lost: none
BATTLE SUMMARY
Once the two warlords realized blood was about to be spilt, there was little choice as to where the meeting would occur. Fadecourt sent the Bugbear to peak around the corner and watch for the enemy he could sense approaching. The Bugbear lined up a shot on the unlucky guard who was leading point today. With a wicked grin the bugbear unleashed a crippling shot on the Guard, forcing him to flee as top speed. Santee ordered the band to keep going, and they continued to advance upon the enemy horde. The Footpad, emboldened by his example of how weak these puny humans were, stepped out from his hiding place, but only to find one a little less secure. Steve Hawkins and Robert Walker, the small continegent of archers brought along to ensure the safe arrival of the local priest at this months courtly procession, moved into position where they could better see the bugbear. Steve lined up te first shot, piercing the beasts thigh. Not ready to believe that was anything more then luck, the bugbear met the next guard in line. Spurred on by Santee's oath that she would heal his wounds, and Joe, the original point man would be tended as soon as he dealt with this disturbance, Joe The Scorpion Clan assassin, not disuaded in the least by the cowardice of the filth, began to dance throughout the rooms, just flittering and slicing up the small band of humans. Beginning a dance between the guards, he was able to take the first down with a fatal return of the footpad who had abandoned him earlier. Another twist of the wrist and he was once again firing upon the humans from the cover of a nearby alcove. Acting without thought Joe, the mortally wounded guard from the beginning of the fight, jumped in the way of the drow buying precious seconds for the other humans to trap him within the alcove. Moments later, after a grisly assault where the drow fought valiantly to the end and thouroughly exhausted the healing powers of Santee, the militia were able to sink a third arrow into the body of the fighter, ending his terror upon this plane, and granting Murry his life, who surely would have perished if not for their support.

| Well this is pretty stupid, but Dino and I weren't able to finish our game this morning.. so even though we live together we couldn't pull off playing a simple 75 point game within one week :).
To be fair, it got pushed to Sunday because that was the first time we had after finally getting our laptop and desktop to share the Modem properly so we could play on Vassal on separate computers. (we could have played the game in our living room adn just posted the results, but we wanted to have a log, and Dino wanted a practice game on Vassal before he had to play everyone else, not to mention we don't have the dragon's hoard map either :)).
Anyways, I guess technically we shoudl just play this week's games with last week's stats, but we should be able to finish up Monday afternoon, well before we play our game, so we'll leave it up to you guys (Galneweinhaw and our opponents this week) whether we get our updated stats (with items) or not..

First come, first served, those are my preferred days at this point. If another weeknight works better, let me know, otherwise we could try for the weekend some time. Thanks!

Thursday is great, 6:30 your time or later.
Also tonight or tomorrow night work if you want to get the match in early in the week (which is always my preference).
Thea's a bit rusty, has not battled in weeks, hopefully not TOO rusty!
Post your choice for game time here or email me. Thanks!

Anyways neither of us ended up levelling 'cuz both warlords died, the ol' knock-down-drag'em'out fight to the finish. Lots of fun but frustrating to lose at the end to a bad init roll hehe

| Boson VS galneweinhaw
Winner- Boson Warband: Boson the drow wizard, Eye of Gruumsh (+1 weapon of cleave, +1 armor of protection), Bubear Champion (+1 armor), 6 orc warrior Support: 2 orc warrior, grick Tiles: assembly 4, mushroom, jagged spikes,
XP: 500 xp (no new level) Leveling: none Lt xp: NA Item gained: Helm of acid resistance 10
Looser- galneweinhaw Warband: Snig (Bubbles, Gobble, and Skirmisher, +1 Armour acid resist)) Erinyes (icey burst weapon), Green Dragon, Blue, Jagged Wasteland, Mush Tangle, Ancient Temple, Assembly 6 XP: 250 to Snig level: none lt xp: 0 item gained: shirt of greater resistance +4 item lost : armor of acid protection
Tile placement was fast since both players came with nearly the same tiles, but they both did error in units placement: Boson was in front line (gosh!) and had a los to a pack of units of Snig!
The game was intense from the 1st move to the last one! galneweinhaw began agressevily, as expextected by Boson, by moving Erinyes in melee with Boson. Closing Eye, bubear and many orcs, a strong melee ensue.
Boson fled, saved by the conceal roll, for an icy burst aoo must hurt! Then the dragon came and breath over Boson and some orcs. The orcs were killed; Boson missed her save, then failed her morale. She was already away from the battle!
Erinyes proved to be hard to kill, even with 6 ennemies around her! Eye manage to finally kill Erinyes . Meanwhile, Snig and his gobbos move toward the ennemy. The dragon and the gobbos killed many orcs. Not so soon after, the Eye force a MC from the dragon (with a mighty crit hit), wich he failed!
At this time, Snig still got all his gobbos, while Boson had only one OW, Eye and Bugbear Champ. The bugbear cast fear on one lieutenant gobbo, who fled. A vengeful manage to makes 20 dmg to the bugbear in 2 rnds! The bugbear fled and never returned!
Seeking to move on, the Eye lost his last orc warrior. Alone, he faced 3 gobbos, one dragon now rallied, and Snig. In a desperate move, he cause aoos to base Snig. Many attacks bring Eye to 10 hp while Snig was still full.
Wining the last round ini, the Eye CRIT on Snig, bringing him down to 5hp, and Eye himself down to 5 hp! Incredible but true, Snig failed his MC by one and fled away! The game was over! Snig get his first loose!
Great game by galneweinhaw! Fun from the start until the end!

| REPORT: Richard (LE) vs. OldCoast (LE)
Winning Warlord: Brother Grim the Grim Necromancer (Richard II (LE)) Krawd's Warband:BG, Nox the Thayan Knight, Efreeti x2, Gauth, Blue, Fluffy the Duergar Warrior, Warrior Skeleton. Tiles: Rubble Assembly, Treasure Room, Hall of Heroes, Spike Stone Cave Warlord XP: +1000 XP / +1500 CP (11250 exp, 16250 campaign points) Warlord Leveling: +1 level, +1 SPL, +5 HP. Feat: Spell Mastery. New Spells: Ray of Enfeeblement [], Scorching Ray [] Lieutenant: 500 XP Nox the Thayan Knight (3000 exp total) Lieutenant Leveling: +1 level, +10 HP, +1 attack, Feat TBA Magic Item Gained: (Med) Ring of Construct and Elemental Turning (Gain Turning 2 []) Magic Item Lost: None
Losing Warlord: Gorn the Skullsplitter (OldCoast (LE)) Grim's Warband: Gorn, LBD, Chain Devil, Gauth, Snig + 3 skirmishers. Support: Dread guard + 2 skirmishers. Tiles: Rubble Assembly, torture chamber, treasure room, broken wall. Warlord XP: +250 XP / +250 CP Warlord Leveling: none Magic Item Gained: (min) +1 shield Magic Item Lost: None Summary
A quick battle really. I left Brother Grim hanging out and he got fired by the gauth for 15, but I managed to clear a screening skirmisher and drop the Ice Storm on most of Gorn's band. The gauth fialed it's save but made morale, and snig and Gorn both made their saves, but I did clear out a few skirmishers. I actually made a mistake in that I could've used my other efreeti to produce flame the gauth and kill him, but it turned out not to matter.
Once I'd done my summoning thing and whittled away at Snig and the other skirmisher, I had a serious activation advantage and used it to move half a dozen units at the end of round 2 and put 85 damage on the LBD. Two charging minotaurs, two scorching rays from efreeti and a gauth eye ray.
Round 3 was a big init. OC rolled a 17 but the dice landed on my side with a 20. So I managed to finish the 15 hp LBD with a gauth ray and the Chain devil made it's paralysis save. The Devil missed an attack on the minoatur skeleton and gorn came up to kill it, but ended up flanked by two efreeti. He quickly fell and that was that since it was evil vs evil and I had killed all his commanders.
Thanks for the game OC. | |

| Clank and Konn met on a wierd field of battle. No one wanted to stay after taking a few wounds.
1. Clank, Slim, Couatl, Bariur Ranger, Clest. Dire Badger, Caravan Guard 2. 1000 XP gained, Clank moves to 5500 XP, level 4 (+10 hp, +1 Att) 3. 500 XP to Bob the Caravan Guard 4. no level 5. +1 Armor of Elemental Resistance 6. Traded in Cold Armor, Used one DR 5 potion dose
7. Konn, Frenzied Berserker, Lidda, 4*Wild Elf Raider, Devis 8. 250 XP gained 9. 4000 XP total, no level 10. Belt of Vision 11. Potion of Sonic Resistance
12. Clank sent his Bariur Ranger to get a quick shot in Konn. However, the sneaky Lidda shot him dead with her magic weapon in return. The fast CG army sprinted south to face the Lawful ones.
It was a dancing match as both warlords wanted to control the JA/FB matchup. After a few 6 pointers were killed by orbs, the JA charged an elf. Konn moved up to put the blow that would set the FB up to take out the JA. However, Konn fumbled his attack. The sonic resistant FB hit Slim the JA. However, the Couatl was able to charge the FB and then Slim could take 1 hit to send her running.
Konn started the next round and sent Slim running. Clank risked an AoO from an Elf (DR 5 and Adm Laced) that hit and did nothing. The Couatl managed to poison Konn, and after Slim made it off the board, Clank's band had all of Konn's troops running.
Tullywi and I did not so much like this scenario. There were many fearless units on the field that did not get that benefit.
Very good game to tullywi. If Konn had not missed Slim (+14 v ac 20) then the game would have turned completely around.

Summary
For full details check out the logfile =)
Battle started with a fireball sending jozan packing and injuring Diva and a few others, then, to ensure the uselessness of all my ranged spells and attacks, the eversmoking bottle came out =( We both cautiously closed in. Diva's Clay Golem flew into the front line (literally, with ring of flying) for some initial minor battles with a pair of summoned azers.
Soon, Thom got close enough to begin confusing the Clay Golem, who subsequently pummelled his ally the HEBI to untill he retreated to safety (far far off the board). The battle wasn't looking good for Diva's forces. The chainfighter and pegasus closed in, Eberk and and the crow shaman were sent home with another fireball that caught Diva's forces by surprised, and it looked like it was over.
However, Diva saw an opening, and tumbling by the pegasus, confronted Thom with her new powerful attack and a swift vampiric touch, just enough to send him on his way. This was the turning point, for the Clay Golem returned to Diva's command, and Thom's forces were left in their own state of leaderless confusion. The Golem made quick work of the pyro and Rask, however Cat Benatar evaded submission for an impossibly long time. Before Diva was able to subdue her she send of two powerfull shockwaves through Diva's brain, luckily, with her experience and prowess she was able to shrug them off (Save +14, DC 15) and impale the pesky cat.

Heres my version. Thom underestimated the power of Diva. Rask and the firebursting Cat Benetar made the HEBI retreat, the confused Golem made the Crow retreat (should have hit diva...) Thom thinking it was sealed up with Rask with two shots (three with quickened attack from armor) to make Golem retreat gets brave and goes for a fireball trying to get diva down a little more. Thom underestimates the power, speed, and quickcast of Diva and pays the price (also the genius of Galnew) damn your eyes Diva Bladesinger! | | Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

Summary: The elves fired arrows and magic missiles from the first round, into the Wood Woad and later the Burning Skeleton. Even with the so many hit points to soak damage, the game looked to be very close and leaning in Veliq's favor until, surrounded, the Bladesinger moved and took two critical hits through her mobility-enhanced AC for enough damage to kill her outright and end the match.
A somewhat longer version of the story with some explanation of why Dai was in an elf-infested wood with a wood woad and a burning skeleton can be found here: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8185

I was expecting a horde of orc warriors to attempt to assassinate my commander so I decided to bring in a bright naga to attempt to kill most of the orcs. He predicted me and decided to run the halfblood instead of a horde of orcs. After a round of movement, he own int and hit my naga once with an arrow and moved a warrior. I double move my naga to base his commander and his halfblood. He moved his commander out of the way and I missed the aoo. He then charged the naga with an orc and hit for 15. I passed the mc. Then we just moved the rest of our pieces. I won int and landed a 19(6 with tiefling) with my warrior on his warrior. I moved him to base the commander. Then my naga went and rolled a 20 on his halfblood! He failed the mc and ran away. I moved my naga away from the impending hit from his warrior. He moved the rest of his pieces away to the open center of the board. I based his warrior with one of my warriors and got a maw 1 square from the commander. His halfblood saved on moral. I won int again and both my maw and warrior missed their attacks. He killed the warrior, flanked the maw, then hit it with the sergant causing it to run away from the rest of the game, then moved it away again. I decided that the naga wasnt doing anything worthwhile so I moveed it back near the action and based the 1/2blood with another warrior. He killed it and hid. I moved my tiefling down the board and based the elusive warrior with another one of my warriors. He won int and killed my warrior and based the tiefling. Then he used cause fear on the naga making it route. It saved, I killed the warrior and came one short to engaging the commander again. He won int, shot tiefling once and moved near his rubble assemb, then ran the sergant over too. I moved naga a few squares away from 1/2 blood and tiefling going through his own assembaly tile to stab the drow in the back. I won int hit the 1/2 blood with naga droping it to 10. I snuck around to the drow and missed agian. He wnet killed the naga, then hit the tiefling for another 5. He won int and shot in melee twice missing both times. His drow landed another hit causing a moral which he passed. He moved around again behind the halfblood. I charged the halfblood slaying the foe. I won int again and charged and missed. He missed also and decided to stay and fight instead of running away. I won int and finally landed a hit on the drow, causing it to route off the board.
