EDIT: NM, I was wrong. I wouldn't have a problem if our games ended at 100% of warband pts instead of death.

I don't think it would apply to "all" scenario's but in 90% of them I think keeping a VP total as the game goes along ending when you hit Warband point "total", is a real good idea.
all you'd have to is change the ones that are standard elimination
to read "Victory Conditions"= "Standard Elimination or Victory Points"

Summary:

The battle started off slowly with Veliq crossing the bottom of the battlefield in a flanking manoveur. The Greycloak Ranger took to the top of the field which was blocked off from Darth Lotus's position and offer him a good firing position if anything were to come into contact with Veliq. Darth Lotus and his forces marched into a torture room of sorts and took refuge until the Bladesinger was in a more advantages position for him.

Veliq seemed to anticipate Lotus's every move and was able to react to every situation as it arouse.(I didn't win a freakin init roll the entire battle!) He moved in for a better view of the enemy but in doing this cut himself off from his compainions, who cautiously proceded forward so they could help incase Veliq was in trouble. Seeing his opportunity Darth Lotus sent his vicious Sahuagin Ranger, Ssassuagin Elfbane forward to engage the elf, while himself and the goblins hid behind a shrine covered in slaughter.

As the ranger moved forward he shifted to the bladesingers left and was startled as Veliq quickly cast a daze in his direction, but resisted the spell. Seeing this Veliq made for Darth Lotus, moving into a position where he could strike without fear. Ssassuagin then moved forward to try and charge the Bladesinger but, Veliq was far too quick and danced around everyones blade while striking out and hitting Darth Lotus.

As the battle shifted to behind the Shrine of Slaughter the Wolf and Graycloak Ranger caught up and joined the fray. The wolf took an inflict from Darth Lotus and was then cut down by a goblin, but only after it had bit Darth Lotus and caused more damage. Mean while the Bladesinger attempted to dance around Ssassuagin's Trident but was unable to dodge his weapon and took very serious injuries. Backed into a corner terror finaly came over Veliq and the elf fled to only be surrounded by Darth Lotus and the Ranger once again.

Veliq quickly regained his composure just intime to see an arrow jutt through Darth Lotus's chest, the cleric slumped to the ground and in his haste to move to a safer position, Veliq failed to see the Sahuagin Rangers trident thrust for his back.

With both commanders down and only the Graycloak ranger and the Sahuagin Ranger left it was a match to see who would catch who first. Sassuagin, an expert at catching and desposing of the vile pointy eared filth that inhabit the main land quickly caught his pray and disposed of it.


It was an extremely good match and took forever for a 50 point game! It was very well played and i enjoyed it extremely...i just hope my next matches over the next few weeks are as good.

hopefully i've filled everything out right, this was my first match in EC and i'm looking forward to continuing.

I too sent you an email angryirish. Although I do realize now that I can't play on Sunday like I said. I'm running a local tournament in the afternoon on sunday. So wednesday/friday/sunday evening or anytime on saturday.

Clank and Vadania met in the tomb of Ihn the Undead man.

12. Clank advanced his warriors carfully behind the cover of a torture chamber until the battle spilled into the blood rock cave. A brave longstrider ranger, Zippo, and Xeph Warrior blocked the advance of the Lawful band. Clank's Couatl friend shielded the band from the Wand Expert, and the HEBI had a horible time with Slim's constant cover and Adamantine Laced armor.

After Zippo surrendered his blocking location between the mummy's crypt and blood rock cave, Clank's band made a sprint for the HE Archer. Jengal and the Couatl teamed up to place terror into Denton. Clank and Slim flanked the HEBI who bravely ran to put a second range precision shot into the Couatl. Unfortunately he lost his glasses during the attacks of opportunity. It seems he is so blind without them he could not even hit a large rainbow colored snake.

Vadania bravely moved to the HEBI's side to keep the Skullclan from getting a flank on him. However, this left her and the HEBI totaly surrounded by Clank's band. One Man at Arms scored a critical and Slim put her in for a morale check. She failed and was nearly killed by the AoO's.

The blurred HEBI did not get any benefit from conceal with Clank right next to him, and a few bites and stabs later, Vadania chose to surrender.

The Couatl and Adamantine Laced on two figures allowed me to take some hits, not worry much about the Wand Expert, and get some timely healing. Zippo almost had Slim face a terror check, but the Couatl kept him healed up. The HEBI had a horrible game. Apparently the glasses he brought were his reading glasses. It missed so many times with a +17 to hit.

A well played game by AngryIrish (over three different attempts to play the game). Good luck to Vadania in the future.

We seem to be having some trouble communicating via email, especially with the huge time difference between us. My weekend is going to be very busy during the day, and my evenings are in the middle of the night for you, so the only time I can see that we can play before the end of the week is during the day (my time) on Thursday for Friday. Please let me know if there is a time we can squeeze in our game on one of those days, and I'll try to make it work.

The grudge match should have been fierce, but instead it became a farce as the gods of fate hated Gorn this eve. Thom hired an archmage looking for revenge, he prayed the eye tyrant wouldnt come and he got his wish. For the sake of the women and children this will be short on the bloody details. Gorns followers hit twice all game. One melee and one ranged, taking out two xephs. The archmage made a balsy moving, flying over with a double move, quick swording Gorn. Then on a massive init (one of the many many many 1s that Gorn threw) the archmage sworded him again and used his scroll to quicken his dimension door out. Gorn based Thom from there, but was taken to where Gorn would die before the next activation. Thom went ahead and finished him off for strategic purposes to pop all the dreadguards.

This was perhaps the most one sided dice game Ive ever seen. I have had horrid luck of late and this made me realize how great it had been in comparison. Two hits all game, no won inits other than the very first one. It looked like itd be worse when he got an executioners blade which wanst gonna do him alot of good, but then Aravis and I reminded him of the reroll and he got a nice shock to finish the game. Sorry bout the crap rolls man

Summary:

This game started out well enough, with the archers and warlock exchanging blows across the field, while everyone else prepared for an engagement. Unfortunately for Tkort, Valius left his head sticking out from around a corner, and he took a solid blow that luckily glanced off his helmet by Peter (rolled a 20). Still a little dazed the armies continued to close the gap. Zippier the ranger, spurred on by Valius, swung twice at the Couatl, connecting only once. With a spear toss from the warlock the Couatl bravely healed himself and retreated to the back lines where he could better bring his orbs to bear. Prim, spurred by his hatred of the chaotic forces, charged the ranger for a powerful hit (25 dmg) that made the ranger take note. Taking up a flanking position upon the rhek, the Inspiring Marshal turned his back on the rest of Santee's forces, costing him again as Peter put another arrow into the base of his thigh, crippling him (another critical). Although all this was occuring directly under the eyes of the past battles (on an aftermath tile) everyone proudly stood their ground in the face of terror, as only the forces of Good could do. By the time the Warlock was able to get a to get a spear into the rhek and finish him off he had done more damage to his foes, leaving the Marshal as an easy target for the Couatl to finish with one of his deadly sonic orbs. Left leaderless, the forces of chaos attempted to chop the head off of Santee's shoulders, but she wisely fled when faced with a second attack from Zippier (failed her MC). This decision saved her life, as she wisely realized once she was out of danger at the back lines and, after a small healing on herself, returned to the battle to assist hunting down the warlock that had been causing them so much trouble. Dedgar used every trick he could muster, bringing on a spectacular performance as he fought for his life. In the end, he could only take Peter with him to the grave.

Summary:

Noname brought the beholder - I guess I wasn't too surprised. What did surprise me was all the low rolls I made to start with. The beholder stoned the dwarf phalanx and disintegrated the halfling vet in the first 2 shots! Thea was able too stay away from the eye for a few rounds, picking off skirmishers left and right, buffing for the main battle yet to come, and jockying for position. Noname summoned his fire elemental and stayed back with the eye while his screening team draw Thea's units in for eye rays to chew up.

Thea finally called for a redirect, swung over top of the torture chamber instead of left and under it, and engaged Noname's troops head on. The chraal breathed and caught the giant, Thea, and the Couatl (save rolls were 1-5-1) - all three took the pain. Finally the giant was in place and went to work. It smashed Snig, pounded through the chraal, and then Gus went to work on the bugbear.

With chraal next to a couple of Thea's units, it popped with an icy show, and Thea was left at death's door. The bugpad routed off. Of about a half dozen spells cast near the beholder's eye, 1 succeeded, a minor heal. Noname took out Gus, the couatl moved up, the giant charged and started whacking nonmae and the beholder, and Collis the hill dwarf run up front as cover. Thea stayed well back to command the field.

The beholder and noname fought on, tossing damaging spells and sliding noname to and from battle with ease. With the beholder flanked by the giant and couatl, noname seized the moment, acted first, and the giant fell to a pair of eye rays (two failed saves rolled 4 then 4 again). Thea charged the beholder and the couatl stayed in place as flank. Thea took back control of the field and acted quickly. She and the couatl hit, and the beholder was overcome by the winged snake's venom. Noname kept pounding at the snake, but the snake landed another venomous bite, this time on noname. Facing a half strength snake and Thea who could move through walls, Noname ran off to in search of an antidote instead of falling to the venom.

About as close as it gets - Thea 5HP, Couatl 30HP, Noname 15HP and poisoned - tight match!

TCR, None of your Gobo's survived they both went down to my OW's real early tonight to give me my Command Effect bonus, I also took out one of your mino skels and warrior skels, the rest survived, but you got no Lieutenants.

Summary:
It all started when the Warmage was in sight of the Dwarf Samurai and shot him with Melfs Acird arrow. Digger in turn shot the Warmage back with the Skull Face mask attak!, the Warmage died. Lady Summoned Babe her Dire boar infront of a Dwarf Samurai, it died soon after from being wailed on by both the samurais. The Champ seemed impossible to hit with a 29 AC but Angie got wailed on pretty good to the whole battle, eberks spiritual weapon hitting each time to. Jai Conceded after both samurai and digger were dead.

Summary:

Krawd faced only 4 units, 5 with the summoned air elemental, but know those enemies were tough to cut down. He moved his range attackers into position as quickly as possible and began spell and gauth eye ray attacks right away. The Sword Archon was in front, so it took most of the softening. Bertha sent the paladin forward to relieve the archon, and it easily struck home on the chraal several times in a row, including a smiting charge. The chraal burst, damaging Krawd but not the couatl-protected paladin.

Krawd saw the threat this unit brought forth and concentrated all attacks on it. Caligo enfeebled it while the others pounded it into oblivion. Meanwhile, the archon had taken enough blows to feel the fear of the tomb, and sped toward the exit momentarily. The mounted crusader was finally toppled, but not before it had connected numerous blows. Bertha and the Couatl held their ground while the rallied Archon lined up for a charge. Bertha called go and the full health efreeti was discorporated in a single shot.

Krawd responded with a gauth fire ray and a blow from his own sword to end the archon's mischief. The winged snake use the big stepping ring to phase away from battle, while Bertha (AC 27 and concealed) waded through a mire of Krawd's hitters. The unerring gauth sapped Bertha's life quickly, along with various blows hitting her. Finally she fell, and the snake was vanquished soon thereafter.

Really weird dice. I won most initiatives, which really hurt Bertha since she was out activated anyway. I also missed more than a fair share of swings for sure. Good game, TKort!

Summary: Merric’s warband was scared enough at seeing an Orc Champion take the field. The deathlock’s fear spells were just overkill. Aramil proved effective yet again, but in a different way this battle. His bow eliminated the orc warrior before it could pose a threat. He then managed to enfeeble the Champ before acting as live (not for long) bait. After mowing through Aramil, the Man@Arms and the Hill Dwarf, the Champ’s arm’s finally fell prey to the enfeeblement and he only managed to reduce the halfling to a quarterling. This proved to be his undoing as he was swarmed under and fled like the pig he is. The deathlock had already shot his wad and was eliminated. Gort proved especially annoying as Regdar unwisely entered the fray himself and discovered the danger of a concealed foe. Discretion again proved to be the better part of valor and Merric used a previously taken dose of his potion and big-stepped his dumb ass out of danger.

There was a brief flurry of 2 misses each in this game that hurt adept more than it hurt me. One more shot from the orc champ or a morale save from him and I was likely toast.

Featherfall??! Who needs featherfaaaalll. .

LOL. You can say what you want, this is the internet after all and the whole world is out there. As long as you're not trying to sell us vacuum cleaners or cussing us out like dogs no one really cares.


As to the game, I'd prefer to handle it sometime Saturday before 4pm EST (GMT -5), which I hear would be saturday afternoon/evening for you. Just give me a time and we'll set this up. Tonight I've got a game with Jai, so now wouldn't be an option.

Summary:
Well, ill prepared for psions, Regdar and Torch moved in quickly hoping to quickly dispatch them before they could unleash mental fury. Ill prepared for non-humans, the blues back-pedaled and looked to their warlord while continuing to barrage its mind. Two blue fell, then Gorath failed morale and began to run. The lone blue critted Torch, sending him straight towards the exit. Luckily Regdar kept his head and rallied Torch who then returned to do justice on the blue. Gorath likewise regained his wits, but alas it was too late. Fearful of Gorath's mind blast and tentacles, Regdar and Torch kept at a distance so that Regdar could finish the foul beast with his bow.

The game was played equally poor by both of us. We both forgot all the ramifications of Confusion and Outsiders. Despite that, i think we both enjoyed it and the game swung in both directions before it ended.

I was just looking over my war chanter status and LT's status I notice u have none of my LT's posted on the standing's page...
my first week my war chanter died and I won with my lidda addvanture so she should have 250 xp
the second week I played my war chanter died but I won and well my Graycloak ranger surivied and so he should have 250xp

and on a side note I know u haven't updated this week yet but want to make sure u added this that I won this week and Aramil adventurer was award the xp for being my LT. 500xp :)......Thanks galneweinhaw :)

Summary

Hoo boy was this an interesting battle. I was reasonably confident to start with seeing that I'd guessed right about the gauth and was thankful I'd brought the burning skeletons, not that they did a whole lot more then protect me for a round or two before I went charging in.

I started off by blurring the champ and samurai and turning the champ invisible. The champ also ended up with resist 10 fire. On the 2nd round I moved the samurai up to breath and clear a path to BG for the champ. I double moved the champ in to base Kane. Kane took the aoo and it came up a 20, game over right? nah, I rolled a 4 on my conceal check and Kane escaped unscathed. My champ then got slaughtered by a minotaur skeleton, chraal and a pair of gauths. He ended up stunned, but not paralyzed. Unfortunately with the horde as it was stunned was just as bad as paralyzed.

The one saving grace for me was my +8 to init vs Kane's +4. I don't think I lost a single init once combat was joined. Round 3 I won init and moved the drider into position to fling a LB that hit 5 or 6 of Kane's troops including Kane. Unfortunately most of the stuff made it's save, including Kane so he didn't have to morale. My champ died and my red samurai ended up stunned by a gravehound.

Round 4 another LB (these took a long time to find the proper line to hit what needed to be hit) that fried my burning skeleton (needed to target him to hit what I wanted) but it did force morale on Kane, and Kane was on a tile. He made both his terror check and normal morale save, unfortunately for me. The tiefling then moved in to kill a minotaur skeleton and cleave a zombie, but face the gauth fury, fortunately he made most of his save, only failing 1 stun save and that was in a round before he'd activated, so I was able to unstun him and still get my +8 init for the next round.

In the end it came down to not being able to find a LB that would do it for me (kane being down to 10 hp) so I tried to transpose his zombie that was adjacent to Kane and my red samurai. The zombie failed the save, and then the Red Samurai killed kane (earning something ridiculous like 130 victory points) and his 2nd attack routed the Gauth. The remaining Gauth put 10 fire onto Gharag (thank goodness for resist 5 fire, cold, elec) but gharag made both his saves. He then went and cleaned up the zombies (thank goodness I didn't roll a 1, and the deathlock put a magic missile into the remaining Gauth to force a morale save which it failed and Gharag stood victorious with 5 HP left.

Summary:
The tiles placement of this match created two major corridors for the fight to become trapped in. It also left Sinsity with a Torture Chamber her troops could escape to, if needed. Both of us have gone for a Shrine of Slaughter, placed parallel to each other, and an assembly tile 1. Dillion also used the Torture Chamber and Mummy's Crypt, while Sinsity had opted for Blood Rock Cave and Abittior.
Dillion, realising the key to success was his Malitia, moved him to aim quickly, taking down one Orc first shot. Both armies advanced, aiming for quick bloodshed. The Justice Archon was swarmed by the Orcs and Kenkus, but was aided by the Men, who charged into battle and attacked. The fooder war raged on, and the Archon moved in to assassinate the commander. He hit, and the commander routed. Failinng a later critical saves and leaving the board. The Fighter charged and hit. By that point, the fodder war was over, and the remaining Man advanced with the Cleric, the Malitia holding back. The Githinki routed the Archon, via help from the Kenu's Sneak attacks, and he was unable to rally. The man dealt with the Kenku, but was killed soon after by the Githinki. The Cleric and Malitia took up positions, and the cleric attampted to smite the Githinki, who needed 5 more damage to morale check. The Cleric, after being hit, made the check, and, with a little luck and help from the Malitia, routed the Githinki, who was unable to rally.
A very tight but good match. A lot of luck was involved, and it was down to a lot of crucial rolls. Veliq played very well, but the Malitia and Archon swung it for me. I am extremely happy, as my losing strike is now out the window! [:D]

This was not a typical LG vs LG matchup. Lots of ups and downs. Lots of damage and lots of healing. Aesoph started off the game by using Legion's undeniable gravity. My Healer and Protectar failed while my Couatl barely made it. Next he opened up the bottle of fog. We both moved up slowly. On round 2, he used the Couatl to cast Legion's undeniable gravity again. This time my Couatl failed the save. I was able to use my first lightning bolt to fry his Protectar and temporarily route his Standardbearer. I also moved up my Paladin to crit his Aramil and then moved back to safety.

Once melee started, bad things started happening. My Paladin moved up and hit his Couatl for 20 damage. Ulmo took some aoos the highlight being my Paladin missing his 31 AC by rolling a 10 and Ulmo missing my Paladin by rolling a 1. Ulmo quickly recovered by quick casting snakes swiftness on himself with his magic item. Ultimately, my Paladin killed his Couatl and hit Ulmo once before Ulmo finished him off. Ulmo was at 45 hit points when he killed my Paladin and took an aoo from my Cleric. My Cleric rolled a 20 and Ulmo promptly rolled a 1 to route. This turned all my attention to his commander. I believe I put something like 100 damage on the Cleric of Lathander. Between his magic item and cure major wounds, he almost survived to allow Ulmo to get another morale save. Ultimately, the cloud of fog cost him the game because Ulmo would normally have had LOS to the Cleric. The Cleric basically killed himself trying to rally Ulmo. With Aesoph's Cleric gone, Ulmo ran off the board. The Spiker Champion soon followed.

Good playing Aesoph. I always knew that Ulmo was good, but I thought a flying Paladin was better. I was wrong. The log file is uploaded.

Just to clarrify my Spell Storing:

Do I get 3 Magic Missiles every match, or for the whole EC?

Also, as Dillion is level 2, do I get +1 to his commander bonus. I believe I do, but just wanted it confirmed.

2) +1 CR (or gain CR=0 for non-commanders) at 2nd level for Lt. and for Warlords, so yes Dillion gets CR+1 if he's now level 2.
