From what you've said thus far, I think this: 1) Unzip the vassal program (assuming you have WinZip. If not, google search for winzip site and download the trail version, which should get you along fine) (I think VASSAL's a Zip file. If not, simply install it). 2) Unzip the mod (remember which folder it's in) 3) Launch VASSAL (a window should appear with the option 'PLAY MODULE' 'SERVER STATUS' 'EXIT MODULE' 'NEW MODULE' 'LOAD MODULE' ). Click 'PLAY MODULE'. 4) Locate the module in the browse screen (at the moment, it's called 'DDM_1-7-3' ). Open it. 5) Click the connenct option along the top of the bar. It's two arrows facing different directions. 6) In the new window/column thing, click the same symbol. 7) You're now connected Vassal's down right now, but we all hope for it's swift and safe return a.s.a.p Hope this has helped.
