1) You can take a normal level. +1 level, +1 attack, +10 hp.

or

2) you can take a SPL. +1 level, +1 SPL, +5 hp, + 1st level spell.

The CoGG has to take divine spells and will gain one casting of a particular 1st level divine spell.

The KS casts sorcerer spells, so he can choose EITHER to learn a new 1st level spell, or he can choose to gain an extra 1st level casting slot, but not both.
