| Rgrayua- how is your availability this week? As always I tend to be more available towards the end of the week but if that doesn't work let me know ASAP so we can work something out.
Jai- I finally get to play you! :) When can you play? I prefer thursday/friday but I can be reasonably flexible and sunday morning is usually a last-resort possibility.
I am mountain time GMT -7, let me know what's what :)

Most nights after 7pm Central, but not tonight! I think we can plan for thursday if you would like. I often check Vassal around 8pm if i happen to have the evening free to see if my opponent is in there doing the same [)]

| Eternal_Boson vs AesD
Victor (AesD) Fadecourt the Scorpion Clan Warband: Fadecourt Scorpion Clan Drow (+3 lvl +30 HP +3 att, Point blank shot, cloak of ethrealness), Snoop the Bugbear Footpad (+1 att, +10 HP, +1 lvl, +1 ranged weapon construct/elemental bane), Zombie White dragon, Drider Sorceror (medium scroll of quicken), Abyssal maw, orc warrior Tiles: rubble assembly, treasure room, zigzag, torture chamber XP: 1000 to Fadecourt (4500 xp 6500 cp) Leveling: none Lt XP: 500 to Mourn the Drider Sorceror Lt leveling: none Item gained: (med) ring of quickstriking [] item lost: none
Fallen: EB Boson the Drow Wizard Warband: Boson (robe of gl. recovery, belt of false life), Eye (+1 weapon of shock), Mountain Orc (+1 weapon of cleave), Wood woad, orc warrior, half-orc assassin, kenku sneak Tiles: Rubble, rock shrine, zigzag, treasure room Xp: 250 to Boson (4750 xp 6250 cp) lt xp: none Item gained: +1 weapon item lost: none
Match started out with pretty crappy rolls for both of us. Him failed SR rolls on Fadecourt and Mourn and the maw missing the save. I got setup where I wanted to try and force him to me. His woad advanced on Mourn and got hit once, then was missed something like 8 times in a row. Finally he was routed by a thunderstrike of all things and the aoos got him to 10. When Fadecourt routed the mountain orc it swung back in the other direction. Finally after the Eye took a lightning bolt from the drider, he got sick of following Bosons orders to hang back and charged into battle slicing into the ZWD and avoiuding the effects of his blurry body like it wasnt there. Snoop and Fadecourt pounced as well throwing through the heavy winds to drop him low. the Eye at 5 and the mighty undead beast at 15, it came down to a key init which Fadecourt won, the Zombie finish the beast and the drider then finished the assassin with a bolt. They then tracked Boson across the storm, though a second to last round THUNDERSTRUCK (btw when thunderstruck hits you got to sing ACDC) nearly killed both the drider as he failed his save.
GG both ways. Dice were unkind to both of us as he made only 2 SR rolls all game. I had a streak of 3s that was just insane. If he would have charged in earlier it would have been interesting, dont know how that would have changed the outcome as thats what I wanted him to do so I could get throws. But it made of had me damaged enough earlier that the rest of his could finish me off after the eye went down. | | Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

| REPORT: The Cloaked Ranger (Aravis) LE vs. Zippy CG
Victorious: Zippy(CG) - Rodus (+1 sonic resistant armor of blinding, [][]Potion of Cold Resist), Eberk (Drums of Panic), 2 x Celestial Pegasi, Ebisu the Goliath Barbarian, Ragnara (Bag of Tricks) / TILES = Assy #4, Treasure Room, Torture Chamber, Aftermath XP: +1000XP (=7250) and +1500CP Leveling: +1 Level (=5th), +10HP, +1ATT, Feat=Minions (Humanoid) Lt XP: 500XP (=1500XP) to Eberk Lt leveling: none Item gained: (Med) Empowered Scroll item lost: none
Vanquished: The Cloaked Ranger (LE) - Apophis the Grim (Quickened Scroll of Melfs Acid Arrow, Shirt of Striding), Chain Devil x2 (Circle of One Godly Blow, other with +1 Shocking Burst Weapon, Direguard, T: Rubble Assembly, Rock Shrine, Torture Chamber, Treasure Room XP: 250XP Item gained: (Med) Amulet of Defense, +2AC item lost: (Min) +1 Shield
SUMMARY Apophis entered the drenched battlefield to fire an ice storm on several of Rodus' followers. He then promptly retreated to a secluded building to summon an undead horde. Rodus moved up, now cautious of the clever necromancer. Rodus positioned the pegasi on the magic cirlce center stage with other troops behind them. His team was slow to move and form, many of his units still reeling from a thunder clap as he arrived on the field.
Rodus caught a lone zombie wandering outisde the summoning building, and fired arrows at it until it slumped over. Apophis was furious, but kept his head and carefully jockied his bulky summons up in front of the dangerous chain devils in his company. Apophis send his direguard blinking into the center of Rodus' formation to cover his advance and create confusion. The direguard was also able to rout the goliath off the field. Rodus grew concerned.
The pegasi battered the direguard until it fell, but the chain devils had closed quarters. Rodus boldly ran forth, spewed acid, and fell back quickly. Nearly a half dozen in Apophis' crew were hit. The chain devils went to work on one pegasus, then the other. Minotaur skeletons screened for the devils and did some pounding of their own. Rodus returned the attacks vigorously. Thanks to Eberks buffs, and luck, Rodus emerged from the fray, himself with Ragnara and Eberk. There was a wounded chain devil and Grim yet to hunt down.
Just as the Chain Devil was going to lay into the badly wounded Rodus, it took damage and lost its nerve, beginning to run. Rodus and his sidekicks re-engaged the devil, and were swift enough to take down the devil before feeling another full barrage of devastating chains. Apophis, now surrounded, conceded the the field.
Without luck, Rodus would not have been the victor. Aravis had a really clever opening move, and had he not lost a zombie to the samurai's bow fire, would have forced Rodus' squad into a tightly defended room, where he surely would have died. | | There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't. | By the way, I hate to be a nitpick, but galneweinhaw, if it's not too much of a problem, when you update the standing, could you edit the name of my Warchanter?
There's an extra "r" in there after the "g" in Arngard, and it bugs me every time I see it. Sorry for the trouble, but its the name of an NPC from my campaign that I had a lot of fun with.

Just Ignore this I think he only thinks that I am a new warlord who did not level the first time around and with me saying that my game with silentg is just a no game happening that he thought I was still at the 50pt warlord level.
So ignore the fact that is says I have 7pts of support troops because I should not for our game.

Summary:
This game the storm thrashed and recked havoc across the battlefield. Heavy Rain pelted the ground for turns on end. Making casting a tough choice. Lightning cracked and boomed a couple of times causing some to become stunned by the sudden shock of the bellowing storm overhead. Even Lightning stuck the ground causing damage to Irzor and crew. The winds made the JA slow and harder to move with. Narkana`s Warband near the start of the match took an onslaught of Bolts of Disruption and Searing Lights. Routing the Hill Dwarf, and killing Narkana. From there it was a battle of out menuever the slowed JA. It was a truely tough match, and awesome game. Thanks Zarnof.

Summary:
Thom and Gorn are meeting at least once a month at this point and its always a brutal grudge match. I think I threw Aes off a little bringing the Barbed Devil, A unit I've never used which turned out to be an excellent counter to those nasty wand experts. The match started out with a close lighting strike stunning 3 units each , we recovered and got into it. We basically both moved up into melee position with our hitters and started the battle of attrition. this is where the dice came into play as I had some really good saves all night where Aes had some really crappy MC rolls in the thick of things, I routed the Goliath ( 2 failed MC's at +16) and Gorn and the Barbed Devil killed the Longstrider, My bladebearer and Executioner moved out front to eat the Wand Experts bolts and the Bladebearer took down one of the 4 Azers Thom had summoned and the Spearguard. The Gauth added much needed range support. The biggest hassle for myself was the wand expert cast blur on everyone in Aes band so they all had conceal. I missed ALOT of conceals this night, redeeming myself with my fortune striking re-roll and landing a big critical from Gorn., Aes gave it all he had but I continously saved against the Catfolks nasty mindthrust and he failed the SR check on the Barbed Devil everytime with his ROE's. The game wound down to one wand expert and Thom versus a routed then rallied Barbed Devil, Gorn and the Gauth. The Gauth routed his Wand Expert on the next turn and Thom retreating to his exit tile to save him. As I closed, The Gauth fried the Wand Expert and Thom finally failed the Paralysis Ray and surrendered.
Always a monster game versus Aes, we've had some great ones and this one is definitely up there. went back and forth alot, and the dice were really good to me tonight despite missing alot of conceal checks. Toward the end and I rolled a 19 on the Storm Roll check to really shake things up even more. I liked the Barbed Devil as well really good unit and I didn't even get a chance to use the unlimited holds once! Gorn can really do some damage versus the Chaotics if his soft AC doesn't do him in and today he prevailed!, abeit with 10hp, but bloodied and wounded he claimed another victory!

I think the weather roll should be as follows: Both players roll a d20. The lowest result is the weather for that round. This keeps the weather less dangerous on average, while removing the "roll to see who rolls" aspect of the early game before VPs are earned.
Just my 2 cp. PS: It wouldn't have made a difference in my game, we got 2 stuns, 1 heavy wind, and the rest nothing. The dice bot killed my game pretty early on. I had no chance at all to win ...

Being as the rolls effected each equally early on I just said whoever roll, we never rolled to see who can roll, I didn't care. I liked the weather being dangerous. MAde it fun. One of the best scenarios in a bit IMO. | | Im out- find me on Hordelings if you want to chat.

| Week 38 - Storm Fury Tkort (LG) Vs. Jai (LE) Aka. Another incorrect forecast!
Thunder Gods: (TKort’s band) Valius Inspiring Marshal (amulet of minor invulnerability); "SlimShadee" Graycloak Ranger (+1 keen ranged weapon)(Minion: “Boo”, Wolf); “Grizz” Dire Bear; “Biggun” Goliath Barbarian (+1 hasted weapon); “Devis", Half-Elf Bard (lute of withdrawal) Tiles:: assembly tile 1; rock shrine; spike stone cave; hall of heroes
Valius gets 1000xp (5250). Valius achieves level 4; (+4 attack, +40 hps, +2 CR) Lieutenant exp (500) goes to Devis, Half-Elf Bard CP Gained: 1500 Magic Item Gained: (Med) Boots of Big Stepping Magic Item Lost:none
Thunder clapped: Jai’s Band: WARLORD Regdar Adventurer +1 Thundering Ranged Weapon (15 Sonic to target and adjacent, DC 14), Helm of Command (+1 CR) Torch (Fire Genasi Dervish) - +1 Armour, Ring of Quick Striking (Snake's swiftness []) Devis, Half-Elf Bard Goliath Barbarian, Halfling Wizard, Barbarian Mercenary, Timber Wolf, Timber Wolf Hehe I just realized jai didn't post his tiles.. tsk tsk :) Regdar gets 250 XP (3500), 250 CP Magic Item Gained: (Maj) Manual of Gainful Excercise Magic Item Lost: (Min) +1 armor AND (Med) Ring of Quickness
The match: Well I finally got to play vs Jai! I was quite excited :). We had a fun game, but sadly the little blue &itch was strongly against poor Jai this day.
The local sorceror had predicted bad weather, rainy, chance of thunderstorms and so on. In the end it turned out there was just one lightning strike, not too far from the field, at the very outset of the battle: about half of each warband missed their first turn due to the surprise of it.
No this battle was not controlled or even really affected by the weather, instead it was by the fickle fates that Jai was dealt his ill hand. I had a definite edge on hit points and damage because Slimshadee managed to charm a rather mean spirited Dire Bear. Our two warbands took their time to close, as I had a sharp-eyed elf with an attitude ready to snipe anyone who dared show their face, and he had a small halfling with a nasty wand with similar intent.
When we finally did close, the destruction was quick and painful: first blood went to Torch, the Dervish, who tried to assassinate SlimShadee, but Devis' song of withdrawal allowed the GCR to retreat behind his new friend Grizz. Soon after, Valius newest recruit, Biggun, was granted a move that placed him behind Regdar's own Goliath Barbarian. Biggun then took his turn with his hasted weapon in hand, three attacks (first two +11.. autohits vs AC 11 :), third +6 scored crit = 80 damage) slew the stupidly brave goliath before it could do any real damage (it had just hit the bear once on its charge in for 20). This put a major hole in Jai's band as he had lost most of his damage dealing ability.
Jai managed to rout my Goliath, it made it a fair distance but then rallied next round. The match was mostly over by then anyways though, as the Dervish quickly fell to the Bear's relentless pummeling, and finally Regdar himself was

SUMMARY Just as Unger and Thea had led their forces onto the field of battle, a massive thunder clap nearby spooked Unger's skittish troops. Thea's team shrugged it off and closed for melee. The two forces met in a small open area flanked by tight entry corridors. Thea's giants were tossing stones as Ungers pets approached, and softened them up considerably. As the forces locked into combat, Thea unleashed her first ever Order's Wrath. It was effective in catching 4 or 5 opponents. Unger replied in kind with a painful ice storm.
With the giants shifting down to block the tyranno's approach, lulu came in from behind and dispatched the wounded Collis. The giants continued to batter their enemies, knocking out the assassin quickly but failing to connect with the drow rogue many times in a row. Thea had sanctuaried the available giant so Unger's team went to bat on Gus, who lasted a very short time before falling, never to rise. Then Thea's giant beat on the tyranno enough to rout him. Unger used the loss as an opportunity, and sent the rogue in to take out Thea. The cursed spirit wafted through a solid wall to force the flank.
Thea took several wicked blows before the nearby giant brothers ended the show, pulverizing both drow and spirit. Unger fell back to rally his irate beast. The giants destroyed Lulu and the Yuan-Ti, and moved forward to remove Unger as a threat. They rounded a corner to a surprisingly well controlled and bloodthirsty dinosaur. A few more swift blade actions ended the beast's reign, and thea moved up to sound burst Unger.
Unger sidestepped the concussion and used an ethereal move to lock with Thea. He chanted evil and toxic words, the upon touching Thea, heard her scream. Now the clock was ticking. Unger retreated, using his ethereal steps to avoid most of the blows on his back. The giants ignored the pain of spiked stones in the area were Unger was hiding, and quickly pounded him into submission, while Thea Hailed in her healer to neutralize Unger's magic toxin.
My Stone Giants wiffed on 1 twice and failed 3 consecutive conceal checks, but Unger failed a bunch of stun saves early on and missed his mega ring of OMB with flank sneak precise weapon, and his tyranno routed. Dice were somewhat if evenly fickle. Fun game JJBeezer, always a pleasure | | There are 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary, and those who don't. | Man, I had that one Giant set up with the Drow Rogue and Cursed Spirit flanking.
8 (base att) + 1 (Level) +1 (Weapon) +2 Flank -1 (Prayer) = +11 versus AC 22 +1 (Thea) Stone Giant
Swinging for 5 (base) +10 SA +10 (SA Weapon) +20 (One Godly Blow Ring) = 45
I rolled an 11. The prayer killed me. That and the fleeing TRex. Some day I will get the Sneak/OGB combo to work. It has only failed 4 times in a row.
Great game Zippy!
