| | I'd be tempted to go Cleric of Yondalla. Cleric of Order is a great figure, but he's taking up points that really, really should go to activations, and not making up for it sufficiently with his commander rating. | |

I figured putting putting the two hitters at teh 24 and 21 ac breakpoints would increase their survivability some, not to mention the +15 on saves for the trumpet archon. | |

| It'll be interesting to see what Corim Danex has to say about this one. He ran a TA + JA at the pre-release event and didn't have much success. Of course he could only field 4 activations, but that still seems like it would be stronger in a sealed environment than in a constructed environment.
It also didn't help his case that I rolled at least 6 natural 20s during our match. He only did 10 pts of damage to my Wand Expert before I'd routed his TA and killed his JA. That's when he conceded. [:P]
The deal with the TA is that you need lots of enemies to take some damage so that you can use your Herald ability. I don't see this particular warband doing that.
Here's an interesting thought:
Trumpet Archon
Cleric of Yondalla
Halfling Wizard
Aramil
Mailee
Hill Dwarf x2
Men at Arms x4
200 pts / 11 activations
The wizard, Aramil, and Mailee are there to give you some auto damage on most creatures in the first turn or two. Then you can do your herald and hope for the best. I doubt it'd be the most effective band in the world since many things are fearless and/or spell resistant, but it'll be worth the price of admission to see Mailee cause an Orc Champ to run off the board.

They do? I don't see a need for a major boost. He saves at level 12. He's resist most spells, and, with most LG commanders, he'll only fail on at the most, a 7. With Cleric of Doh-Arrah, he's only miss on a 1 [:O]. | |

I was attempting to make a decent trumpet archon band, not necissarily a tier one band. | |
