| I agree that the Draegloth isn't a great piece and didn't fare that well against the big AC sticks when I faced one, but it was still your best hitter. I probably would have gone:
Dark Naga - U - 41 pts 41 (Lightning Bolt is a good spell) Draegloth - R - 56 pts 97 (best hitter in the bunch) Githzerai Monk - U - 34 131 (Secondaty hitter/fodder immune) Grimlock Barbarian - U - 28 159 Xorn - U - 24 pts 183 Gold Dwarf Soldier - C - 17 pts 200
Drow Arachnomancer - R - 53 pts Swarm of Spiders - U - 15 pts Dolgaunt Monk - U - 14 pts Troglodyte Barbarian - C - 24 pts Spirit Folk Fighter - C - 19 pts Royal Guard - C - 10 pts Lolth's Sting - C - 7 pts Monitor Lizard - C - 6 pts Halfling Sneak - C - 5 pts Orc Skeleton - C - 5 pts
I admit, I'm not very familiar with the Arachnomancer, but shee seems to be a piece to build around, not in spite of. If she is more durable than the Naga, that may have changed things. | | Champion of Prit(Wemic vindication is here) Minneapolis/St. Paul area Completed trades: Aspect of Cheese (Love that moniker), Tickparasite, Elderthing, Lalato, Sodj, Grimoire, SmilinIrish, Zeb, RWarehall,Link, wikkawikkawa, Auramancer, Rommers, HK, Ivid5,Qillan_dvra, Puggins, Arcabius, Ironfist Boulderbender, Robby, Corim Danex, monster_slayer, DNDJUNKIE, Kelemvor, Krush, ckissee, Massawyrm, hockey fan, Wish, Uninspiring Lieutenant, vtloon x2, Vrecknidj, Darthpoke, WakeXX, AnarionZell, lycusmike, papabear5 and umpteen local trades with board members

| You should have taken the Draegloth. Despite its sucky qualities, it *was* your biggest thug, and in Sealed beggars can't be choosers. He's actually perfectly *ok* in Sealed because of the decent attacks and abilities. In my sealed I did not pull a single 15-damage creature besides the 13-pt Skeletal Equiceph...
Draegloth Dark Naga Gith Monk Grimlock Barb Xorn Gold Dwarf Soldier
That's what I would have used.
Edit: damn you Gunthar, beat me to it! :-)

| | The Drageloth is hitting at +12/+12 though, which is pretty neat. I gutted 2 Balors and Marut with mine (3 seperate games obviously) and this was despite forgetting he had conceal 6! I think he is better than people give him credit for. | | | |

| I managed to pull my draegloth band to a second place finish at the pre-release i attended(out of 23). Main reason was because i didn't face any real big hitters and even if i did i was only afraid of the Balor (4 got pulled at our release with zero death slaads or helmed horrors that i seen!)
My last game i faced off against a Balor but was extremely tired (it being nearly 9pm and me being at the store 2 hours before it even opened) and i just played it poorly. I should have stalled and eleminated his other pieces then tied up his balor with my draegloth/large earth elemental hoping to win on points.
Poor Nightmoor (assuming your .. Raph is it? ..) had a horrible draw and had an equilly horrible draw at the pre-release for angelfire.
I'm the dude in the pink hat btw, Mike. Traded me your Warchanter:)
