| | I would pick the Chaotic Evil and with a close second the LG band. | | Welcome to Eternal Crack... "Corn is no place for a mighty warrior!" Champion of the Frost Salamander | |

| I would say the LE band is worst. You have no real "meat" to the band. Summoners a fragile and the Chain Devil does not do as well as people would like. You do have the Gauth so you will do some damage, but I can't really see this band as being effective.
Your second warband has a nice damage output, and the CE of the tiefling means you will do even more damage, but I would rate this warband as second because I can see this warband running out of power. The Half-Fiend Orges are level 5 so will not make many saves, for that matter, your cammander is level 3. I would not be surprised to see this band down to the Dreagloth and a half-fiend ogre very quickly.
I would say your LG warband looks the best. You have three powerful hitters (well, 2 1/2) and they have high AC. The commander is not very effective, since the three hitters you are using already have good attacks. Maybe use a Cleric of Order to improve the saves and for the higher commander rating, or a cleric fo Lathander for the searing light and heal spells, but of the three warbands you listed, I would pick the LG to play.
That is what I think anyway. | | | |

| First off, I'm assuming you're using what you've got.
Simply for the power of the Marut, I'd have to go with LG. You might try to acquire a dwarf wizard and a better commander than the dwarf caver. Of course a Coutal and Justice Archons wouldn't be bad either. The gauth is a very powerful unit, but you need to design around him. He needs significant threats to go out in front of him occupy enemy attackers. The chain devil is inferior to most other options. I'd actually suggest the Justicator over him, since he'll fit in LE as well as LG. I don't think the grim necro is a great idea. As for the CE warband, it's really not too bad, but it's major problem is that better options are available. Even the hunched giant from UD is superior to the draegoloth and the half-fiend ogres. | | **Note: Unless otherwise stated all my minis are unbagged** My reference thread is at: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12765 Graduate school is swollowing my soul!!!! | ok, ok, ok. I see that the LE band is the worst. I was trying to have some fun with it (I love LE). I also didn't see that the Justicator was LG/LE (oops). About my commander, I just wanted a commander who could last as long as I needed. The cleric of order would do a bit better, but he would only last 1/2 as long as the dwarf caver because the caver can take a hit or two, the cleric can only take a hit. I ended up with 30 points after the 2 1/2 big chuncks of meat were put into the warband, so I couldn't have fit in the couatl. And the Cleric of Lathander is a bit to specialized for undead (Which no one seems to play very much of). And for the strategy for the CE warband. All it is, is supposed to make the enemy die before me. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. | I never seem to get the CE pieces.. so I am always jealous of the firepower so I would lean that way over the LG band.

| | Ok, I'd definately use the cleric of order over the dwarf caver. He's top notch for the points. If you can fit the Coutal into the warband with the Marut, you'll probably be better off. I'd say drop the slayer or justicator in order to get the coutal in. The rainbow snake is just really efficient and versitile. | | **Note: Unless otherwise stated all my minis are unbagged** My reference thread is at: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12765 Graduate school is swollowing my soul!!!! | I agree. In 200, the Couatl is just about the only commander I'd use with the Marut, primarily just because the Couatl is so cool but also because of the Snake's Swiftnesses and the auto-damage.
