Though the fact that they are burrowing increases their utility, the fact remains you are running 3 large based creatures which will make manuvering and concentrating fire a bit tough. Otherwise, I don't see why you shouldn't run it "for fun". I wouldn't take it to a tournament though.

kill the pally and get 150 points? for fun land, yeah.. it could be fun. but its kinda hard to keep burrowers in command

In order to tie that many points of elementals to a commander, he had better be tougher than the Paladin. That said, maybe the HO Paladin can be good, but it just seems like there are better choices. I don't think that HOP + 3 LEE is anywhere close to HBG + 3 Chraals (I know that's not what you were asking, but there it is anyway). Still, I'd try it for fun, especially since Underdark is so new and shiny! Cheers, Jon

Hard, I absolutely agree that the group is much better in LE than the LG group. What commanders would you place as tougher than the HOP? I am talking survivability here. For the points in LG, I dont think there is a tougher commander to tie these boys too. Am I missing someone? Greg
