Just bc i love themed bands i like this band already. I think you need a bigger beater for the mounted drow to hit and run behind though. Consider using the Large Deep Dragon?

Your band is pretty solid, however, this one might be a tad better and is made entirely of underdark miniatures.

Drow Arachnomancer
Mounted Drow Patrol
Draegloth
Drow Arcane Guard
Lolth's Sting x3
Spider of Lolth x2

Har 25/80 De 35/60 Ar 43/60 GoL 61/72 Ab 42/60 Dk 43/60 Af 51/60 Ud 49/60 WD 50/60

Here's an ok band I just came up with and ain't doing that bad:

Ryld Argith
Large Deep Dragon
Lolth's Sting
Drow Arcane Guard x2
Drow Rogue

Use the dragon to help use sneak attacks and use the lolth's sting to do the same with ghost step. Ryld can do 20 dmg twice, the rogue can do 15 dmg twice, and with all those bonuses (Ryld gives +2 and the dragon gives +3 to attack that right there is +5 to attack) that ain't even with flanking and charging and flanking and charging at the same time, all that jazz.
Hope this helps.

Against anything immune to sneak attacks, you're pretty much screwed. Ryld is your only decent hitter and he is only decent. For a drow themed band, a draegloth or a couple of MDP are essential in order to have a high enough damage output. IMO, this is a pretty good drow themed band.

Drow Wizard 29
Draegloth 56
MDP x2 54
Drow Arcane Guard x2 25
Drow Fighter 10
199 points, 7 activations

or this actually might be better

Ryld Argith 55
Draegloth 56
Drow Arcane Guard x2 50
MDP 27
Drow WArrior x2 12
200 points, 7 activations

After looking at both bands though, a drow themed band still needs cheaper fodder and a cheaper(~25 points) commander with a decent rating(4).

You didnt do bad. But pieces like Drow Arachnomancer dont belong here. Large Deep Dragon and Ryld are perfect pieces. X'endrick sucks so don't use him.

I agree with slayer1. Having a Draegloth in there, if you have one, might give you the melee presence you're looking for.

What about the Xen'drik sucks? I'm very new at this, so this is a serious question. She has 2 melee and 2 ranged attacks, albeit at low damage. She has Conceal 6, Speed 8, AC 20 and Spell Resistance. All of this for 23 points. I didn't think that was a bad package.

The LDD shouldn't be used either. Apart from his fantastic breathweapon, he is complete and utter crap. Xen'Drick is actually very well costed, but is somewhat challanged by being in the 20-25 point range.

@Tomas - Your band wasn't bad at all, especially not for a noob to constructed. Another decent drow band is

Draegloth 56
Ryld Argith 55
MDP 27
Drow Arcane Guard 25
Xen'Drick Champion 23
Lolth's Sting x2 14
200 points, 7 activations

One side note, every time I build a drow themed band, I always end up with 7 activations. Weird.

I agree the LDD is crap but some figs such as the MDP could use a AB boost. But I like ur band. Xen'drik may have all those good things but isnt a great mid cost beater. If they gave her sneak attack that would have been ok. I would probably use a drow rogue instead.

IMO another midcost beater isn't needed. Also, 10 ranged damage isn't bad. A drow band won't play like orcs. It will have a couple of decent melee threats(draegloth, Ryld), a good utility piece(DAG), an anti-tech/weak commander piece that also serves pretty well as a hitter(at least in this case)(MDP), a decent ranged attacker(XC) and a couple of fodder pieces(Lolth's stings). At least, that is how I imagine a drow band.

HEY, the LDD isn't that bad. here's a 100 band that I am yet to try out:

Large Deep Dragon
Teifling captain
Orc Searfighter
Orc warrior x2

Or

Large Deep Dragon
Drow Wizard
Orc Spearfighter

any large dragon in 100 points should do well by my figuring.
