| I like the fact that there's some blurring of the factions. There are, as you point out, several high speed LG pieces. But, this has been true since the first set (Ember). I think that having a wide range of speed 8 or better pieces for LG is a good thing. I haven't counted, but I'm willing to bet there are more speed 4 and speed 6 pieces for LG than there are speed 8 and speed 10 figures.
LG and CE still lack serious spellcasters, there's nothing close to the Red Wizard or Archmage in either alignment.

| You said you like the blurring. Why do you like it? Is it because it give viability to the lawful fraction? What I think is that slow speed should not be a so important drawback as it is now. I don't want to heard, don't choose this commander he only has speed 4. I know that I can play with a speed 4 commander but I will be at a huge disadvantage. I think that by making map like mushroom cavern, it will greatly help the metagame and bring down (not too much I think) the importance of speed. Also, another important fact with those map is that they are smaller. Really important in regard of rallying troops.

Dave
completely agree besides the Deathlock's magic missles (used with Red Wizard) and the Orc Druid's snake's swiftness I don't use CE spellcasters | | Champion of Axe Beaks and Brownies | |

| | I also agree about the fact that CE don't have decent spellcaster except the Deahtlock and the Lich Necromancer. | | CHAMPION OF THE ELDER BRAIN. 26 Completed transaction 17 trade completed Maxminis (13): Vrecknidj (2), AussieJim, Razarac, Ghendar, NixLord, Sir Bozak, kestrel, Sam500, yack, minatoman38, Brez and Aesnath. | | i think to a large extent this blurring has occured to make the lawful factions more viable. i know ya don't want to hear it, but no one who plays competitively (that i've seen) plays primarily speed 4 figures. get rid of assult and create another mechanic to reduce the viability of turtling and you can quite possibly increase the viability of slow figures. same goes for large activation bands., which are another weakness for LG. all in all i like the idea of slow big ac lg figures, and want it to work, the rules just haven't been nailed down enough yet to make it work well in the game. | | -Eric | |

| | I'm with the original poster in that it would have been nicer to see clear-cut divisions between faction strengths, with the odd cross-over in higher point creatures. However, as mentioned above, speed kills and the chaotic factions had an abundance of it while the lawfuls were getting around on crutches. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |
