Pretty sure that both benefits are part of one single command effect -- it's just that unless you're playing sealed, all your minis are the same faction, and so only benefit from one of the two benefits.

So, when you steal Ryld's command effect, you can apply whichever benefit applies.

Ryld's commander effect has a boost for good humanoids and a different boost for evil humanoids. The Rakshasa would get the entirety of his commander effect but provided you're playing a constructed band would only have evil humanoids in your band and thus would only get the evil benefit.

If Ryld's commander effect were written such that it said something like "If Ryld is in a Good band do this" then it could work differently. It would be a mess in limited events.
