I was thinking about this for 500pt games. Paired with a couple cursed spirits, your huge red could be hitting automatically for 160dmg (paralyzed Save = 10 foe). And the empowered MM are jsut to finish them off if they're still alive. It would be cool paired with an epic and a nonepic deathslaad. Automatic Death Rend DC 19 if effected by a cursed. It sounded pretty cool so i thought i'd mention.

I really like the Lich Necro, both in 200 pts and 500 pts. As an undead, he has lots of immunities, and having 75 hp is a real bonus on a commander. His being fearless also means he is staying put for all his 75 hp. His 3 EMMs are great sight attack spells and the paralysis can come in HUGE in games.

I ran an Epic band featuring the Lich Necro, HRD, and 2xLRD. It did pretty well. A second Lich in place of the LRD might also work.

I while back we ran a 250 format where huges were legal. The playable huges (warforged titan and Fomorian really) dominated in the beginning of testing, but lichs took control and overwhelmed them. Save =10 or low HP/cost ratio isn't happy to face a pair of lich cannons.

In 500 theres a lot more options now, but not a lot of the good ones have much better saves than 11 or 12. The liches will still be very playable. You just need to make you have enough melee offense to go with them, as your spending a lot of points on guys that don't stand up and fight. An epic band only really has room for 1 flashy "trick" ability. In a band with 2 liches, they are the "trick". In a huge Red band, he's sort of the "trick". Mixing them both lowers your overall offense potential. This can hurt you against a REALLY aggressive band. I would try for one way or the other when building for the epic format.

Looking for someone to cosponser a midwest DDM event. let me know if your interested!
