Hey all, just a small query that came up last night. Sorry if this has been brought up before. Situation, a creature makes a morale save, applying Tyrannical Morale within range of an enemy Balor. So, questions: If the fig fails the first save, does it die before it is enslaved? Can Tyrannical Morale be applied to the second morale save? If so - if you fail that save, do you die? Thanks.

Champion of the Prestige Class where mages focus on telekenesis and start throwing people into the ceiling and uber stuff like that. Desirer of a Commander Effect in CG that grants Sidestep to followers with a ranged attack.

Yes and Yes. If you choose to use Tyrannical Morale for the first save the creature is destroyed if it fails, long before it can even make the morale check for enslave. If you choose not to on the first and then choose to on the second and it fails then it is destroyed at the same time it is enslaved. Under normal circumstances when a creature's additional morale save succeeds, the creature routs normally. Using Tyrannical Morale it's destroyed as it normally would be if it failed. So basically it's destroyed no matter what. Tyrannical Morale is a perfect Balor defense. R~

wow until i read this i wasn't aware that if they used tyranical morale and failed they died learn something every day

Vampire Aristocrat can also serve as a good Balor Blocker when you play the Battle Royal kind of matches we usually play.
