Why can't WoTC make all the maps consistent and put start area A on the left and B on the right? It would be much easier to follow the tournament reports and discussions about maps if I can just remember which side is which. If I knew that A was always on the left then I could follow the discussions without having to consult my own maps and/or vassal.

Anyone else agree with me?

One bad thing about the maps is the playing perspective. Before nationals I made a point of playing with me sitting at the top edge just because I didn't want to get used to looking at it all from one side.

The alternating side A and B have me instead referring to the the areas by description instead of A/B.

"The long start area on the fane"
"If you're looking at the top of mushroom w/ the shared victory area up at the top, I'm talking about the one on the right."

I think that is what makes each map unique. Making all maps alike (even a little bit as you state) would be; IMHO, a setback.

Yes. I don't think its a huge deal, but I certainly can't see a reason not to do it, and I think it would have made more sense.

Still left or right depend on wich side of the table you sit... :p, but seriously yeah i do agree that it can be a lost of time to try to found from wich side is he talking about when they consitenly alternate between one and another

Complete set: hummm all
Jaraxle: Do keep ever present in your thoughs, my friend, than an illusion can kill you if you believe in it.
Entreri: And the real thing can kill you whether you believe in it or not.

It does seem to make common sense that A and B be on specific sides of the map, when your looking at the map, and able to read the map title.

I'll make note of this one and ask Shoe about it at WF.

If Start area A is on the right and B is on the left, just turn the map around.[:D]
