| So each pair of Karnathi Zombies only counts for 1 figures, so you can actually cram 14 of them into a warband and still have 46 points left over for one more figure. Question is, what should that figure be? The HUman Blackguard (46pts) fits perfectly but the Grim Necormancer (35pts) has better synergy?

| My first thought is just say no to building a warband out of guys that only hit for 5 and eat up all your activations in one not-especially-fell swoop.
If you pointed a gun at my head and told me to pick a commander I'd probably take the inspired lieutenant. The blackguard's commander effect offers you nothing, and his commander rating isn't that important for morale checks. The I.L. is a better offensive piece overall, and her commander effect will help the zombies hit more often.
Or you could put in a helmed horror (or I guess a spectre) and go commanderless. | | Anson on WotC boards

Oh I'm not saying it's a good idea, I'm just curious what people consider the best option given this scenario. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

| Well, since this is a fun band I'd use the Grim Necromancer. He'd let your Karrnathi Zombies do 10 damage, which would make their Squad Activation ability more deadly when they swarm enemies.
In a competitive band, I'd use four of them (which would only be 22 points) as fodder for an LE-Quad warband. They might also work as an "Undead shield" for a Beholder warband, with the Grim Necromancer as a commander.
Now I need more Karrnathi Zombies... | | Check out my DDM Blog: http://scifirules.livejournal.com "I will pay my dues when you send me my tusks!" -Strong Bad Champion of Chainmail Equivalencies | Knight of Efficient Fodder WotDQ Called Shot: Large Green Dragon (VINDICATED) | Blood War Called Shot: Large Brass Dragon | Unhallowed Called Shot: Skeletal Troll

Correct me if I am wrong but my understanding of the Karnathi Zombies is that each one still costs 11 points, but for every 2 they only count as 1 figure towards your limit of 8 figures.
So effectively 4 zombies cost 44 points and only fill 2 slots of your 8 figure warband limit.
Anyone else who can further clarify? | | "Like a thief in the Night"

| | The way i read the card is that they still cost the points, just not the activations. | | Ha:19 of 80! De:43 of 60! Ar:24 of 60! GoL:60 of 72! Ab:59 of 60! Dk:58 of 60! Af:60 of 60 Complete! | | Well for every 2, they count as only one activation. So its not like they dont count at all.. its just for each 2 you have, its considered as 1 mini in your warband. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |

How so? I believe his commander effect simply gives them +4 to attack, with no damage bonus. | | My H/W list is not current... Trade Reference List OLD Trade references (191)
