| Had a discussion about this before WD was released and we never really resolved it.
The effect of the wardrums, is it related to commander effects, 6 squares, or is everyone affected no matter position? | | Ha:19 of 80! De:43 of 60! Ar:24 of 60! GoL:60 of 72! Ab:59 of 60! | Countersong is 6 squares, as per the glossary. The other two affect warbands and so have no range, if I recall correctly.

| Right.
His drumbeat can produce 3 different effects.
His card says "...Choose 1 effect, which lasts until the start of this creature's next turn..."
Countersong Drumbeat (This creature gainst Countersong) Resistance Drumbeat (Creatures in your warband get save +4) Intimidating Drumbeat (Enemies get morale save -4)
Countersong is a Named ability. It is defined in the glossary as having a range of 6 squares.
Resistance says "creatures in your warband" and Intimidating says "Enemies get"
No range is listed, therefor there is no range, it affects all.

| | You know, the "drumbeat" special ability is named also (the name "drumbeat." Does that two Wardrummers cannot, in fact, use different effects simultaneously? | | My H/W list is not current... Trade Reference List OLD Trade references (191) | |

| | You could have 2 wardrummers in your band each using one of the non-countersong drumbeats, and they would both work. 2 could not stack the +4 saves, but 1 could use -4 morale for enemy figs and 1 could use the +4 saves to allies. | | | |

| When we first saw the stats of the Wardrummer I had posted a question asking if you could have 2 or more wardrummers and if they chose two different effects would both of them work. And Guy ruled yes because it isnt stacking at all. Since each one does something different, its not the same. So having 2-3 wardrummers is pretty neat. I've toyed around with the dual wardrummer band a lot and am trying to find a build I really like. You can almost go commanderless, but since the TC is so cheap, there's not much reason to go commanderless.
A TC and two wardrummers only takes up 59 pts. Thats a +8 to morale and either countersong or -4 to enemies morale saves. And if they want to get rid of all that, they have to kill 3 ppl. Thats pretty dang good. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |

While this is true, I don't think it overcomes the weaknesses in either piece enough to make it work. The Vampire is too fragile with his low hit points, and the Balor is not often powerful enough for his cost to bring victory.
