I have some questions on tracking points to determine tiebreakers for top 4 of a swiss-round 200 point sealed tournament. Because of time restraints, we could not have enough rounds, so we used points scored as the tiebreaker. I have some questions on how points would be given in these situations:

A) Player 1 is ahead of Player 2 with current score being 126 to 58. Player 2 concedes to Player 1 before the end of the match time. Is Player 1 given 200 pts or 126 pts for the match?

B) Player 1 is ahead of Player 2 with current score being 126 to 58. Player 1 eliminates a creature worth 80 pts. Is Player 1 given 200 pts or 206 pts for the match?

How are top 4 tiebreakers determined in tournaments? There are no rules in the Floor Rules document for determining a players rank when having the same Win/Loss record. What do they use at GenCon Championships or is it not transparent?

In the tournaments I've been in, the points aren't really kept after the winner has been determined.

To determine tie breakers, you look at each player's opponent's records.

For example, let's say there is a tournament and there are four people who are all 4-2, and only one of them makes it into the top 8.

Player A's two losses were to players who went 3-3 and 5-1
Player B's two losses were to players who went 6-0 and 5-1
Player C's two losses were to players who went 3-0 (dropped) and 4-2
Player D's two losses were to playres who both also were 4-2

This means that player B advances, because his losses were to better players. There is a formula for turning all this into a math problem, but I don't recall it off the top of my head.
