| | -Actually I,m not sure about wich are the most useful minis in LE.I think the gauth is the number one and its a must in every LE warband you can create. The same about the beholder. But my doubt is about the rest of LE creatures.I think the most useful is the helmet horror, but I think the chraal is very good too (almost better than the helmet) but Its too dangerous play it because the couatls.A lot of people prefer the duergar champion but I see it a very simple creature and the others are best, indeed. At last, the large duergar can do a lot of damage if you can paralize somebody.Which would be your choice in a high level tournament? | | LOVE THIS GIRL | |

| Check the LE Toolkit, mix and match until you have a 200-pt band you're comfortable with.
Each one you mentioned is good, and is listed in the Toolkit; HelmeD Horror, Chraal, Duergar Champion, Large Duergar, Gauth and Beholder. | | Champion of Iconics & the Apparatus of Kwalish (Constructs with Drivers? Brilliant!) Dungeons of Dread Called Shot: Yeah, right

| As said few messages below, Beholder has no play in Tier1

| I don't think the Gauth is a must have. I've never used one outside vassal. And even on vassal, I've only used them in warbands that happened to feature a Dark Naga anyways. They're very good no mistake, but I just don't end up usin them much, not my playstyle maybe.. which is odd, because I'd imagine them as a piece that would really work for me, but just not for some reason. Fire Resistance/immunity is a *real* pain when using them I find.
I'm in almost perfect agreement with the relative placings of minis and the comments therein the LE toolkit. One exception is the Efreeti, which I don't think I have *ever* regretted taking in a warband. Even against strong fire resistance. Moderate auto damage, flight, high attack bonuses, moderate resilliance, reach, and one of the heaviest hitters in it's point range in terms of damage (breaks the 15 dmg barrier) clinches it for me.
Zakya Rakshasa also deserves a mention as well. Maybe not quite a Duergar Champ, but not far off, and with more 'tech'.

I agree with you there. It might be that the Helmed Horror has somewhat overshadowed the Efreeti since their cost is similar, but I like the Efreet better in any case. Of the two pieces Efreet has better ranged damage and a higher melee damage making it the more agressive piece. And since my own play style is quite agressive, it fits me quite well. | | Champion of the Sarrukh

| I'm a fan of the Efreeti, Helmed Horror and Duergar Champs.
One band I (and others here) have enjoyed playing is
Rakshasa Helmed Horror Efreeti Duergar Champ x2 Kobold Miner x2
Play it on the Drow Outpost for some pit sliding action, and go to town.

| | I tend to pretend the Zakya's don't exist. I've now seen right about 40% of the True Strike's miss due to rolling natural 1s. It's eerie. | | | |

| | The Zakya is a great piece. I am particularly happy that this is true, since last year when I got the Eberron Campaign setting and saw the stats for the Zakya, I thought (and told Sam) that this would be a good piece to push LE closer to where it needed to be. Granted other pieces have since been released that have been proven to be slightly more useful, but that doesn't change the Zakya's utility. | | I am not gone. | |
