| | -My fodder choice has been always the same:if I play the eye,a lot of orc warriors with no doubt. If I dont play the eye,a lot of abyssal maws and orc warrior. But now the quaggot slave makes me doubt...It cost the double than the abyssal maw and I dont think he,s better. Why have I to include him in my warband? If you have tested these creatures a lot, please, tell me wich is the best to abuse. | | LOVE THIS GIRL | |

| | Much better attack bonus, fearless, and relatively easy to get him to 35 hp. Maw & Orc are low end fodder for blocking stuff, and putting the odd bit of damage here & there, and the Quaggoth is at the top end of fodder, being able to contribute to damage, flank/ effectively block. Fearless helps a lot. | | | |

| | With the eight-figure limit, it's often easier to squeeze in a single 10-point piece than two 5-pointers or three 3-pointers. | | Champion of Iconics & the Apparatus of Kwalish (Constructs with Drivers? Brilliant!) Dungeons of Dread Called Shot: Yeah, right | |

| Quaggoth are speed 8, fearless 15 (lots of time 35) hit points, and hit at +10 for 15. Excellent tile grabbers, which are unlikely to die to a couple of fodder, also great at hunting down opposing tile grabbers, including normally beefy ones like the Warforged Scout.
I like them a lot | | | |

| | I have used the quaggoth like kgradert13 mentions as a victory area clearer. With the speed it possesses it can usually get there in one turn and hits well to clear opposing point grabbers. And then with his additional HP he can run into the main battle a bit late but often unplanned for by opponents since he is a late arrival. | | Champion of Cyclops

I agree, the new rules have majorly changed the role of fodder. Since all the peices in the bands are stonger now your fodder needs to be as well. personally I'd rather toss in vctory area grabbers rather than fodder in this new game. | | Champion of the Tohr-Kreen. | Yeah totally a different game with 8 figure format and less low point fodder to kill. The old Orc Warriors and Abyssal Maws also have a lot of issues hitting the lawfuls ACs. Quaggoth's +10 can hit reliably enough to get it's HP boost as well as it makes it a minor threat that can't be ignored for the most part like so many other little filler pieces. Against the likes of Gith Monks, Marut, Helmed Horror, Chraal, etc. they just can't hit without a lot of luck. So the Quaggoth fills a good point level and need for it's abilities that is very needed. Just check out the tournament reports and you'll see just how much they are getting used these days. That alone tells you how solid they are.

| | It seems a lot of players have started looking at the Quaggoth and seeing very good things. I definetely want to try out a few and see how well they do. I've seen doubtofbuddha rave about them, so there has to be something to them for him to keep trying them out. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |

I concur. No longer are people just stuffing in as many activations as possible. A practice I always foudn particularly cheesy. | Main problem in using the Quaggoth is the 8-figure limit. You can't usualy fit in more than 4. If 12 figure warbands were still legal I would gladly drop a couple of 40 point beatstiks to add 8 quaggoths.
