| So we're doing a little league thing at the LFGS.
It's been decided that everyone will start with 100pts and work our way up from there. Mini alignment doesn't matter for building one's warband.
So, I built a few bands and thought I'd get opinions on them.
First up;
51 - Lion of Talisid
27 - Hunting Cougar x3
17 - Earth Shugenja
5 - Timber Wolf
100 Points
6 Activations
The Cougars are the fighters of this build doing (after buffing with Shugenja and staying in command) 20 points of magic damage at +8 to hit. The LoT's Flame Strike could be a potential game winner at 100pts. Timber Wolf is for tile grabbing.
The second band is very similar to the first;
50 - Greenfang Druid
27 - Hunting Cougar x3
17 - Earth Shugenja
6 - Kobold Miner x2 or Man-at-Arms x2
100 Points
7 Activations
This build has the Cougars only doing 15 damage, but doesn't waste as much time buffing as the first. However, it does have them doing double damage more often via the GFD's CFx. The Earth Shugenja misses out on its Magic Weapon spells (unless she casts them on herself and the miners/mams).

| Truthfully I probably wouldn't play either warband. There's so many options for you to play that you could throw down the most effective pieces together and be running something solid and deadly. For my money the likes of LG commander, CE or LE Beaters and CG tech if you needed it. Something like:
Sword of Heironeous
Umber Hulk (under command!)
Snig (w/ Gob Skim sniglets)
Greycloak Ranger (w/ Timber Wolf)
Orc Warrior X2
Or something similar to this. I do like the Umber Hulk being under command though. Still 100 point games can be odd and smaller warband sizes can win easily so I might throw in another solid beater. Maybe another Umber Hulk or heck an Ochre Jelly or two. [:p] I've also determined that a Zombie White Dragon can be a pain for the opponent to have to deal with.

Would be interesting. DR is always good in 100, and bumping the attack bonuses and AC up on these guys while keeping Justice Strike would be nice. +12/+7 is much nicer than +10/+5 for the JA w/ 21 AC. | |
